  1. I really hope the bald version is the regular one. More because it's the newer uniform and I want the other 'future' DS9 releases to be the same.
  2. Just out of curiosity, what is the connection between those two properties that you see? That they are both non-sci-fi TV/movie Minimates? Perhaps....just perhaps...DSS is (perhaps) the nadir(!) of the Minimates line. I won't swear but WTF is that all about???? In all the bars in all the world....Desperately Seeking Susan?????? Can you imagine anyone apart from Guy Ritchie even opening the packaging......vogue,vogue,vague! I totally agree. I really struggle to think who on earth would buy Susan mates. Fact is 24 mates were really a bit dull, most real life mates will be (I think especially lost figures if they were ever made.) DST should stick to trek, DC and marvel then throw in the odd iconic movie mates like silence and they'll be on a winner.
  3. 'i think their buying in large amounts from the US for us in the UK which i'm glad for as hate getting stung for custom's charge's £12 for a set of minimates £12 shipping £4 vat charges £9 handling fee total £39 ' Aside from the bad maths the above is just pure crap. I'm a UK minimate fan and I've bought all BSG and Trek waves from the US. I got all wave 2 trek (inc variant) and BSG series 3 (inc variant) for £25.00 all in including shipping and no customs charges. This is about standard. To buy the same at my local store would have been £47.92 at £5.99 a pack!!!! So what no UK sales, it won't effect me in the slightest.
  4. Personally a really great move for DST. Instead of bogging the line down they've really opened it up. I see waves 4 and 5 selling like crazy which will only up the avenue for even more waves, where I reckon a couple of more waves of TOS would leave those store shelves pretty warm.
  5. Is it me or are DST really missing a trick not using their Stargate licence to bring out some more minimates? It really makes me wonder about the inner workings of toy companies when they don't seem to sell their big hitters and yet will invest in Desperately Seeking Susan minimates?!?!?! Is it just me that doesn't get this? A four-pack of the main SG1 team would sell like crazy, I'm sure of it. Best of all, the body sculpt could be the same for all four figures, you'd only need to do head scupts and a P90 and da ta! A box set. I think I'd just rather see these than Susan mates or for that matter any of the BTTF lines. Anyone else think the same way?
  6. DST have already sold me on waves 4 and 5, totally brilliant. I was reading comments that if DST wanted to they could drag these waves out for months and years to get full series crews. I have no problem with this, but I will say that half a crew is no good so I really hope DST commit to this lines as well as buyers. I can only refer to my disapointment with the DC lines where I have the six of the original seven members of the justice league because martian manhunter was so rare (and only C3 release.) Now the DC line has been cancelled and my chances of getting him are next to nothing. So please DST make sure you give us the full TNG and DS9 crew before you end this line too early.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge minimates fan but both these waves leave me totally cold with the exception of Kor. Unless I can pick him up loose I'll be missing all of these out. Roll on waves 4 and 5 of trek - I'll be getting all of those plus variants!
  8. Just a though people but when these do come out most will be looking for a decent scale TARDIS to go with them. Check out; http://www.thetoyshop.com/Toys/TVAndFilms/...+The+Doctor.jsp It's perfect scale for minimates, I got one a while ago and added lights to it. Now just for the doctor to arrive....
  9. The whole decision sucks ass but if we really did only have one last wave; Kyle Ryner / Alan Scott Martian Manhunter / Huntress Plastic Man / Sandman Zatanna /Metamorpho
  10. Really great move by DST to combine TNG, DS9, etc. It means we're getting something for everyone and we're getting the lesser known characters as well. Well done DST, you've bagged my purchases for the future.
  11. I'm really happy to see the inclusion of ds9 in the set up. Really excited about these. Now more DS9 starting with Quark and Odo and I'll be very, very happy. P.S. Andorians!! Please DST!!
  12. Got to be Andorians. Can't get more fair than white hair.
  13. As I sit here looking at my minimate collection ( a modest 40 figures) I look at my favourites, Star Trek, Cap America, Supes, Wonderwoman and Iron Man. All of the traditional style in the basic form. And while I love Kilowog the extra mile bits just made them look overproduced and it really isn't needed. All I know is that I now have a justice league line-up (minus the manhunter) and hawkgirl looks really dumb with that chest piece of hers. I want the old style to come back as standard, with only rare sculpts when really required.
  14. Can't say a heroes range of minimates would appeal to me. I love the show but.... Other than the cheerleader (correct me if I'm wrong) but the rest of the characters are always generic every-day clothing. This makes for a whole bunch of dull looking 'mates just like the 24 mates coming our way. The strength of the minimates lies with strong uniforms and characters which translate really well to sci-fi and superheroes, and then really recognisable characters such as rocky. Visually speaking I'd like to see more minimates playing to this strength, so while my favourite shows may not get made the 'mates that we do get are fantastic to look at.
