That Spot figure is an example of why I'm such a MiniMates evangelist. Any other toyline, like Marvel Legends, they do Spot and it's a simple repaint of a basic body. Throw it in a package and Bob's yer uncle. MM is not content with that. No. They include little spot discs, a spot-colored base with a flight stand to make it look like he's jumping. Crazy cool.

I can think of several ways to get him out again: ...as part of a Golden Age 2-pack or box set (with maybe the GA Angel, Destroyer, etc.) ...as part of X-Men Red ...in his own box set, with some combination of e.g. Attuma, Orka, Krang, Namorita, Tiger Shark, Dorma, Byrrah, Stingray, Tamara Rahn, etc.

I would be down with Grandmaster. Could it also be Batroc?

The victor is Gladiator, who narrowly squeezed past Uatu the Watcher and Deathlok - it was a really close vote for the finalists, with only one vote separating each of the top three characters. I got into Aliens mates a little late. I've been pretty fortunate to find a big chunk of the series for essentially MSRP still, but there are a few releases that have eluded me. 1) I'm not too excited about paying $130 for a counter box (singles) 2) The TRU Series 1 releases are very hard to find as a set on e.g. eBay. Any tips or alternate sites to check?

I'm just doing what I do whenever I see a response to this thread: checking in, looking for hints, announcements and/or pictures. I ate chia pudding.

VS In all the other polls, I could call it early and let the poll coast to 50+ votes for the final tally. But this one has been a dog fight between these two heavies, Skurge and Ulik. Volstagg the Voluminous has tied up 3rd, and Frost Giants are the favorite army builder, but we need one final vote submission to send one (or both) of these cats to the championship.

Do we know for sure whether or not the BAF is a one-off, or more are coming? I honestly don't know... has Mr. Oat mentioned anything about it? Either way, this is the last poll before the big rollup. I reckon I won't be polling any more ABs moving forward. Once we start getting to the likes of Sidri and the Ovoids, we know we're stretching (with the exception of WARWOLVES of course!). I also get the giant-is-giant sentiment for sure, but once they released that 2.5" Galactus I kinda gave up on that. I'd be over the moon for a Fin Fang Foom or Devil Dinosaur in 2.5", for instance.
