Well he popped up in the Marvel Legends line, which sure surprised the heck out of me, so I wouldn't say never in your dreams... Now the odds of him showing up with Meggan, Rachel Summers and a blue-costume Shadowcat are probably a bit slim. Although it would make me and my Nightcrawler mate very happy. If they ever do him, I imagine he'd show up alongside the inevitable Psylocke mate.

Thanks for the link dude, I tried searching eBay but the only listing that came up was one for $60 -- I guess this one didn't show up because it's only listed as shipping within the US (I'm in Canada)... but I'll try emailing him to see.

Yeah Palisades always had problems with sales, and with getting (or rather not getting) any interest from any of the big box stores for distribution... I think their Muppets line had some of the best toy sculpts ever though, and it still kills me that they went under right before the Sesame Street line went into production. At least they got the Muppet penguins out there though, those were wicked... The only Palz I bought were the first wave Mulder & Scully, and I think they did a great job on the likeness. The amount of accessories was impressive, but they would have been fine with just guns and FBI badges. Never had any problems with arms breaking or paint apps or anything. I really wanted the second wave Scully in her green autopsy scrubs, but by then they were blind-boxing them and there's no way I was going to buy box after box trying to score a chase (I think it was like 1:60!?)

Well, I definitely wasn't saying they should pump out free merchandise for fans, but AFX has built up a relationship with Marvel mate collectors by sponsoring various exclusives right? So I guess I used the term "rip off" because the site knows it has a market with fans, and is using that to move what is mostly non-mate stock. I would think that if they'd sold the thing for ten or fifteen bucks, they would've made even more money off the Spidey, and presumably people who actually want their unsold stock would have made a dent in it even if the sale hadn't included a free mate. Anyway, not arguing with you, it is an old business trick, I was just saying I understand people therefore feeling "tricked" or taken advantage of. Me, personally -- still just happy to be getting him at all.

Definitely a rip-off, and not something I could particularly afford with the torrential downpour of Mates at the moment, but I'm mostly just happy we got this guy. If the other Not-Target Mates pop up in "deals" like this I'll be able to wait it out until they show up on eBay, but the Web Armor Spidey issue was the first comic I ever bought, and with Target backing out and the Ghost Rider line circling the drain I didn't have high hopes he'd ever get released... So yeah: big rip-off, totally annoying, big smile on my face.
