  1. Yeah, they're Joe scale I think, can get pricey though: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=3318
  2. I think the original's meant to be actual Marty though (at least he looks that way... no hat, no extra sleeve, hoverboard). This one's his son, so really it's a totally different character! At least that's what I'd tell myself if I just bought him I don't love the second movie either, but I do love the first ten minutes or whatever, basically everything through the end of the hoverboard chase, so I'll pick this up for those two mates, they look great. And I know they're just saving that regular '55 George for the amazing 35th anniversary set...
  3. I could see the Snow speculation panning out, but Stannis being saved at literally the last second would feel like a cop out to me, it would be like the Hound turning up in a full body cast and crutches. Plus that sequence already felt way too coincidence-happy with the candle finally getting lit at the exact moment Brienne turned away. I actually took that scene as the complete opposite, the look they gave each other seemed like they both thought it would probably kill them but that was better than getting caught. I think they lived too, but I'll be happy with either as long as next season doesn't open with them having broken legs and a Nurse Ramsay.
  4. It looks like maybe they're just making them for every significant first party game going forward. Hopefully that means we'll get some more Star Fox amiibos whenever that comes out. And it seems like someone in the UK really wanted the Splatoon ones at least!
  5. I'd go with the latter, but that's mostly because Vinnie-mates makes me think of Jersey Shore. Although weirdly I kind of like the sound of Snookimates, whatever they would be.
  6. The main actress seems really solid, and it looks like they're going for a more fun tone like Flash, which is good. I like that they've got her not really knowing what she's doing yet but jumping in anyway. I hope the actual show doesn't have the constant annoying Grey's Anatomy-style soundtrack like the trailer, but yeah I'll give it a go.
  7. Would that even have been possible though? The only part of this Cage mate that could have been re-used for a '70s Power Man is the alt set of hands, so really it would mean them throwing an entire second Minimate in there. Iron Fist would've needed another set of legs, feet, and a third chest block, not to mention his big weird collar, do they even have a part they could reuse for that (other than the original one, if it hasn't aged well)? And that set was pretty crammed full of parts to begin with.
  8. Might as well cast your vote in both, seems like the poll is just meant to be easier for him to tabulate since most people ignored the whole 'vote for only one character' thing.
  9. Yeah he wore a version of this with the brown boots, a brown pocket bandolier thing, a brown leg holster, and a red headband. But he was shown in this regular uniform too I think.
  10. An "off the page" Torch would be awesome, I love that they put the stripes back on that last TRU Torch, but on solid red it'd look even better. I'd also love a solid white Iceman, the All-New one in Wave 59 would've been perfect if they'd used the blue lines for the face/muscles instead, and left off the outline of his uniform, which I don't remember ever being visible after he transforms in the actual comic.
  11. Finished it on the weekend and I liked this series a lot, I thought Peggy Carter was really fun and AoS is okay, but this was a big step up. I agree with PL that casting was a huge part of that. I was REAL bummed about Owlsley, that actor's delivery was hilarious throughout, and I was hoping they were setting him up to take over the organized crime stuff next season. I think if they get rid of the weird "eyebrows" on the mask then the red suit should be fine. Hope we get a mate of Matty in the black one at some point...
  12. I was talking about the Fabulous Frog-Man, BTW, not the Ani-Men character (who I'd never heard of before TBH), so it wasn't Lee, although he did create Leap-Frog and Frog-Man was kind of a legacy version of him, so if my post had had anything to do with Frog-Man beyond him having a silly name, I guess I might've given him some credit. Not that Stan Lee is really lacking in credit for things!
  13. It's time to organize a cross-time caper then...
  14. Hellpop, Goldballs' name is meant to be dumb, in-story. He's named that by the other kids, disparagingly, because he has a seemingly useless mutant power. It's like mocking the writer that came up with Frog-Man because it's a silly name. But whatever, rage on...
  15. I can see that I'll need to start a Kostis-style one man crusade for Hobo Namor at some point, but who has the time, and meanwhile this wave looks awesome. Especially cool to see that many female characters in there, been wanting Cap Marvel since the first costume reveal, and I guess this will be the first Spider-Gwen toy to market unless I've missed something, so that should score a bit of attention for the brand.
  16. In the book, young Jean abusing her powers and invading everyone's privacy has been an ongoing storyline. The stress of finding out about her future Dark Phoenix stuff basically kicked her powers into overdrive, so she has full adult Jean psychic power that the Xavier of her time hadn't trained her to deal with yet, combined with teenage poor decision making. Emma Frost is trying to train her now.
  17. Well I finally took the financial plunge on these things -- just got a Stormtrooper in the mail, and I got the new Artoo a few weeks back. I'd really only seen sixth scale figures in photos before and they are pretty awesome in hand, but I'm not sure if I'll get many more. I do have a Ben Kenobi on preorder, and if they ever make a great Endor Leia and Wicket I'd grab those for sure. I was thinking of getting the upcoming C-3PO too, but they put lights into the eyes and I'd hate having him in a "switched off" look all the time.
  18. As (intentionally) silly as the redesign in the latest Waid DD issue was, I still immediately wanted a Minimate of it. Spoilered image if you're trade waiting:
  19. Nice collection, K80. I don't keep track of these bigger statues, looks like they make for an imposing setup though. But I have to say that one Spidey does look a little like he's hanging his head in shame for being so puny in comparison Only statues I've picked up in recent times are the Bruce Timm Harley Quinn from the Black & White series, and the Cliff Chiang Wonder Woman, don't have either on display right now though.
  20. I have Fox, Yoshi, Luigi, Wind Waker Link and Mega Man -- I don't own a WiiU yet, but they're neat little figurines. I wanted a Lucario but it sounds like to actually get an exclusive you need to F5 whichever website until a preorder shows up and then they sell out immediately. I saw someone joking online that they're all really eBay exclusives at this point. The only other announced one I'm planning to grab is Dr. Mario, and I hope they make the Duck Hunt dog and Game & Watch guy eventually, getting toys of those would be even more crazy.
  21. I'm loving Hickman's Avengers, he definitely plays the long game and goes off in many directions all at once, but after FF I had no doubt it'd all come together in the end. Like Undeadpool said, Infinity was just a chapter bumped up to "event" by editorial, same as Secret Wars is really just the Hickman finale.
  22. So far I've got Catwoman (the hip joints aren't a big deal in person to me, just blend in like all the other cuts and joints on a figure), and picked up Joker and Robin yesterday. I think Joker's face looks fine in person too. I'm waiting for the first season Bats. The pricetag is keeping me to only my most wanted characters for sure.
