  1. Seems I'm totally the other way prob being English. GI Joes with all the colourful characters never really made it over here, especially in my youth but some of those new Joes did branded under the Palitoy Action Man line which I think was the UK 12" original Joe stuff before it went star wars figure size. So I remember playing with Commander Power, Bulletman, and Sheild with my Mego Superhero figures. So for me this is a big thumbs up! Especially Bulletman I played with that figure to death it had bald silver spots from being handled that much. I Had to google the other charcters as didnt know them but all in all very happy.
  2. Enjoyed the movie but pass on any figures. Namor would be fun to see the parts made but everything else no thanks. Character outfits in the the movie are high fashion civilian an a few super suits.
  3. Everyone doing their favorites that they would like but me being from England I have to put my hand up for prob some obscure Joe enemies. Baron Ironblood and the Red Shadows. I think they are still counted as Joe figures as they where a spin of from Joes in The UK called Action Force. These guys where my main enemies for my Mego Pocket Hero figures back when I was a kid So at least my Little Mego Figures had someone to fight.
  4. Just where will the madness end. The next thing it will be tigers and who would ever want a minmate tiger? 😆 Toyark as better shots of the display if you want to check there
  5. They look really nice and I much prefer the cartoon colour style and these.
  6. I thought he was a standout character in the Big Hero 6 animation. ?
  7. I would have preferred The Patriot and Stature Young Avengers but this is still a good set. I kinda see why they would have gone with this team over the other. All the young avengers have been hinted at through the MCU through either movies or the TV series but Hawkeye and America have been used as the actual characters and the looks are recognisable to ppl that aren't totally up-to speed on the characters. When I always see new pieces used on Minimates I always think who else could that used for. Hulklings Wings made me think of Gargoyle straight away. Come on Minimate Gods revisit The Defenders and give us Gargoyle, Hellcat, Astral Dr Strange, Valkyrie (Its time for another one), Son Of Satan, Red Guardian, Clea. Yes I was a big Classic Defenders fan back in the day.
  8. about 8.50 starts the minimate little bit of discussion. 9.25 onwards mentions its an old cartoon etc
  9. Didnt Say D&D by name but 80s cartoon 6 packs etc. I would love it to be D&D I'm fingers crossed hope that's what it is. I Cant think of six main villains thou. Venger, Tiamat (To big for a box-set) and I think Warduke was in the cartoon. I do remember a action figure of him being in shops when I was a kid. after that I'm stumped. I think Hasbro owns MASK nowadays that could easily fit the 6 heroes and villains box-sets loadout and would go well with GI Joe etc
  10. Did A quick Google and the teams listed as being formed from 2010 onwards I could see are Avengers Academy Future Foundation Avengers Unity Squad Mercs For Money Champions Strange Academy? Not sure if this was an actual team. Children Of The Atom None of them that I can see have the Male, Female breakdown mentioned. Hopefully someone with alot more modern comic knowledge than me can crack it.
  11. I Hope that's just a clever camera angle for the Hulk/Thor pic. Drilling around there to fix the cloud effect makes me wince. Oh an the Hulk smile makes it all the funnier.
  12. My X-Men reading is more the classic Blue an Yellow team. So Any pick would for me be from that era and prob be villians. Mimic my top pick First time I saw Super Adaptoid was in a X-men comic so he fits Ka-Zar Savage land plays a big part in X-men stuff over the years so I'm surprised no Ka-Zar Angel in his yellow an red outfit. I know its horrid, lol Red Raven I'm a sucker for old superhero war comics like The Invaders so anychance I get of maybe a Liberty Legion character I'm taking it
  13. dont stop here its still not been revealed that the whole fun of this forum we can be daft an laugh I just cant figure out a good one for Scott Hall but there must be one with that last name.
  14. in the build a figure section there is a Mr Hyde build a figure minimate. lol
  15. I'm not a Rangers fan either but I will be getting these those vinimates just pushed me well into it and I havent bothered with Vinimates at all.
  16. I must smirk and chuckle a little because this is what the collectors outside the USA have had for years. Accepting and just having to deal with what seems like absolute mental shipping rates. Another is that also for years DST have said they cant or couldn't sell minimates in UK/EU because of our safety regs on toys, but somehow they can send a minimates to the UK on basicly clearance. Again where are the checks on these and if they can be done why arn't/where they done for other waves which has kept them out of LCS for years. An Yes I know Minimates do appear in the UK in dribs and drabs and at online places like amazon and Zavvi but they stopped supplying minimates to bricks and mortar stores around 2007.
  17. I've just watched it for the second time. I took my Grandson to see it. Seeing the excitement and hearing it as well from a kid makes it all the more a better movie for me. Like prob the majority of ppl here we know the history and backstory of the all the plots and comic series that the MCU an also the DCU are pulling from and that can at times make us overly nitpicky or critical of not being 100% true to the source material. So as I said I went with my 10 year old Grandson. He knew there was villains from the none MCU movies from the trailer and he seen the other Spidey movies on TV with me or his Mum and Dad but because we try an keep his online activitys balanced for his age he hasnt got in the habit of tracking down spoilers etc for stuff. That was all he knew, so his excitement when it all came together for the big sequences etc was just great. Is No Way Home the best Spidey movie? I Dunno but it sure is a blast going in with an open mind an just buzzing off the reaction of someone who is all in for the ride just makes it awhole lot of fun.
  18. I like the new big box design. As a collector I more often then not display my figures loose (a few exceptions like for promos etc.) For me the book cover design gives a more premium look to the figures so if that's the future for our favourite plastic crack it looks like staying in box going forward.
  19. Now I'm sure Marvel could do a storyline with that concept if they haven't already. If they do make sure you get royalties.
  20. I may need 1,2 or 3 guesses at this one. Who am I kidding I have no idea.
  21. I remember back when Minimates stopped being shipped to the UK that the Wave 16 minimates ended up at BM and Home & Bargain In the UK not sure if 17 did as well.
  22. Yay shots look great. The Designer sounds like a name for the next big bad in whatever marvel crossover comic is coming in the future.
  23. WoW I never expected to win, Lol. Cheers Sig Choice on the Avatar comment. I've thought about changing it over the years but it has history so I keep it. I remember being asked to make it more kid friendly back in the day as it originally had basicly the whole body shimmy dance bit and it was worded to me nicely that it could be I think distracting. its all fun in the end an that's the main thing.
