I actually quite enjoyed it, I was totally expecting a grade A cluster-f**k of a movie like TF2: Electric Boogaloo... Let's face it, It was a two hour toy commercial and in that regards it succeeded, I actually wanted to buy a Night Raven despite not having owned any Action Force toys since 1985 and Scarlett & The Baroness were exceptionally easy on the eye so theres that too.

AFAIK They've got Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer for this one, I'm pretty stoked to see the chemistry between Stark/RDJ and Hammer/SR, They're both great actors so i'm hoping they play up the Evil Tony aspect to Justin's character because i think they have similar acting styles...

Iron Man 2's Whiplash What do you think, guys? I'm quietly optimistic on this, The first movie was one of the highlights of 2008 for me so here's hoping... My guess for the possible storyline is that Justin Hammer gets hold of some Irontech (Maybe remains of Iron Monger armour?), Has Vanko build a suit of armour (With added whip action) that then gets used to kill either hundreds of people or one special Tony-Specific (Girlfriend/Relative?) person whose death Stark considers himself responsible for, Cue spiral into alcoholic dependency that requires Rhodey to become Iron Man, Rhodey gets his ass handed to him by Vanko causing Tony to snap out of his alcoholism, builds a new War Machine armor to take down Whiplash and then takes up IM identity again and passes on War Machine armour to Rhodey to take Hammer down once and for all... That works for me. Hopefully the Whiplash armor has more to it than Mickey Rourke in bondage gear though Lol! In the end though, The minimates are gonna be freakin' awesome!!

I've just finished reading John Birmingham's fantastic Axis of Time trilogy about a US-led naval taskforce from 2021 beinf accidentally sent back in time to 1942 and the US fleet sailing to Midway, I found them to be some of the most engrossing techno-thrillers i've read in years, Now on to the meat of the post... Who would you have as the principle characters on any possible movie/TV adaption? I'd start by having... "Uptimers" Admiral Philip Kolhammer, USN - Ed Harris Colonel J. "Lonesome" Jones, USMC - Dennis Haysbert (The Unit) Captain Karen Halabi, RN - Parminder Nagra (ER) Captain Jane Willett , RAN - Lucy Lawless (Yes, I know she's a Kiwi not an Aussie...lol!) Prince Harry Windsor, SAS - Daniel Craig (007) Julia Duffy, Reporter, New York Times - Not sure, Someone with the presence of Michelle Forbes but younger? "Temps" Cmdr. Dan Black USN - Matthem Modine Lt. Wally Black USN - Milo Ventimiglia Admiral Yamamoto IJN - George Takei (Let's get some Sulu love up in this house!!) That's all i've got so far,I don't know whether this would be better as a trilogy of movies or maybe a series of mini series with a similar format to Band of Brothers? I'm quite partial to a Jim Rhodes Iron-Man with the add-ons (Backpack & pods) from when he holds up the mountain, It's been a while since i read it though, that was probably the Hulk...lol! I also quite fancy a Secret Wars II Beyonder, I always thought he looked like the Hoff as a kid ;-)

Theres no such thing as Iron Man overkill, If anything IM is the one Marvel/DC character that perfectly lends itself to multiple versions as there have been many different armours over the years, although I won't be satisfied until i've got a Hydro Armour/Stingray 2-pack from IM Vol. 1, #218 In my grubby little mitts!! The Hydro Armour Rocks!! Anything can happen In the next half hour... I fact I want a multiple wave Armor Wars streak, Goddamit! Tony Stark will rule the world!!

I know I'm probably being a complete noob, But what is the best method to remove paint from 'Mates? All I want to do is remove the rank braids from a spare Trek Scotty 'mate to make a generic Redshirt and i don't want to ruin the arm by scraping off the paint, any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks...

Holy Cow! I work at Borders in Edinburgh and I was searching on the system for a DK Ultimate Guide for Iron Man just today, Seriously. Weird...I was sure I'd seen info about a release for one ages ago (Dec/Jan), and a couple of other IM movie tie-in books were "cancelled prior to publication" but all trace of the DK ultimate book have disappeared..Damn them! I've got first editions of the Avengers, Justice League, Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four & X-men books, Sure woulda liked an IM one though, Think of the wonderful toys?!?

My first mates were Captain America/Absorbing Man & Wife-beater Wolverine/Juggernaut from Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh for about 6 or 7 pounds each..and my initial reaction was...Meh! So I left it for a couple of years until I found some remainder C3 sets at my local TRU and was hooked on the DC goodness, So now I'm up to date with all DC 'mates (God rest their little souls ) Trek 'mates and BTTF 'mates and I'm totally addicted!! Ain't got them on display though, just in a big old Tupperware box...The wife looks at me funny when she catches me sniffing the plasticky goodness within...Sorry, guilty pleasure, Yeah I'm a little weird!! lol!
