  1. Here’s a shot I took using the nano scene Batcave set
  2. Possibly, I also have the hogwarts (posted pics a few pages back here) and Batman set and they do work. My initial problem with the bugle set is even the JADA figure looks too big. You’re right though, the price point makes it a VERY easy compromise, and now I may reconsider the NBX one too.
  3. They do have a tiny Daily Bugle Set but it seems way too small. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G7VSSZT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_tS-kCbXYQKJ4H They also have some Disney display sets of the same size including one for Nightmare Before Christmas I agree. The Avengers Tower would have made perfect sense. I would have also loved Dr. Strange’s house, the x-men mansion or danger room, baxter building, wakanda fortress, a shield Helicarrier, and for DC... Star Labs, Fortress of Solitude, OA, Justice League Watchtower... or even a neutral battle worn city diorama since they have both Marvel and DC anyway.
  4. Didnt really set up. Just grabbed some mates and took photos for scale. It’s a bit small but can photograph well
  5. So I took one for the team and bought one of these. Will upload some quick pics I took using it.
  6. I hope this hasn't been suggested earlier. We've seen a lot of video game MiniMates but what about a board game: CLUE! (tie up with Hasbro!) Boxed Set One: Mr. Green and Mrs. Peacock (with Rope and Knife) Colonel Mustard and Mrs. White (with Wrench and Lead Pipe) Boxed Set Two: Prof. Plum and Miss Scarlet (with Revolver and Candlestick) Butler with Mr. Boddy It could even come with a limited edition version of the game.
  7. Well, here's something to consider. Recently, DC revamped a chunk of their management team. Georg Brewer is no longer with DC Direct. They also have a renewed thrust at licensing their brands. In fact, they've even renamed DC Direct (Now DC Collectables) Perhaps now is the time to restart our clamor for the return of DC Minimates? With the new 52, they might be willing to release new DC Minimate versions of their newest characters! And you know what, DC Minimates sold well enough on their own but took a while to get a following. Less than a year after they stopped the line, you couldn't find most of their mini mates save for the same few ones still around today. That Plastic Man and Two Face woulda been awesome! And we could see movie versions of Batman, Bane, Joker, Scarecrow, and maybe even minimates from the upcoming Superman movies. Speaking if which one thing to take from marvel's formula is to routinely re-release classic looks of their big names so anyone can catch up! They've done Captain America, Wolverine, Spiderman, Iron Man and Hulk a lot of times. Thor, Daredevil and the FF, and most of the big name X-men have made repeat appearances. DC Direct already likes doing new versions of their big names. Just think of the many superman and batman variants they can make to anchor these. I wouldn't mind a whole bunch of Superman, Batman, Flash and Green Lantern variant figure once in a while just to keep the line going. Especially if it can get us characters like Blue Devil, Animal Man, The LSH, and Adam Strange...
  8. Great idea! I'm jealous of two things: 1. That I did not think of this first 2. That you have that many Flash figures It reminds me of the first season of Big Bang Theory where they all dressed as the Flash for Halloween. Raj suggested that they all stand in a line so they would look like the Flash moving fast. Can I ask you where did you get the great buildings and the pavement? Thanks! Did you get a chance to click the link? It also leads to my Flash collection gallery. The buildings I saw in a toy store here in the Philippines several years ago. X-Blocks or Block-X or something. Also have a couple of Mega Bloks buildings from their old Marvel/Spiderman series. (see the other pics) The Bank was from a Megabloks Spiderman Movie set I think. A Mega Bloks Halo battlefield set was used for the desert and bunker. The backdrop to the desert and the pavement were from christmas stores. The Ice backdrop was from a cheap plastic animal set found in a toy store here as well. (came with the tiny penguins in the pic) The pillars were from a pet shop that sold aquarium accessories. 9. I thought I'd post some pics from My Minimate Gallery I have over 150 pics so I just chose a few to share here. The rest are on my toyblog's minimate gallery: http://thetoygallery.blogspot.com/p/mini-mates.htmll More pics at http://thetoygallery.blogspot.com/p/mini-mates.html
  10. Hi guys I'm relatively new to the Minimate collecting scene. My first Minimate was a FLASH C3 flyer way back when. When the DC Minimates came out this year, I got hooked. And now, I've been trying to track all the Marvel minimates I had passed on. I'm 32 years old, from the Philippines. I've been working in Advertising since 1997. I collect mostly DC Direct, Marvel Legends, Mattel DC and JLU and now Minimates. I used to collect Palisades' Muppets line when it came out as well. My collection, though not updated (no minimate pics yet) can be found here: www.joedytoys.piczo.com
