The fact that it is a different format from their Mission Fleet may allow for it to happen.
The fact that Mission Fleet vehicles and playsets might be compatible with Minimates could also allow for it to happen. The biggest reason I'm hanging on to the Galactic Heroes ships is in case we ever get Star Wars Minimates.

My LCS was supposed to get a case but was shorted. Not the first time, probably won't be the last. Patience is a virtue.

My nearest Walgreens has a "Marvel Movie Minimates" peg. No product hanging on it, just the peg.

Some of us lazy folks will call that “close enough”! LoL
Which is why my custom Morph doesn't even have a patch. ?

Can't help wondering who the BAF might have been.

Yay, indeed! Thanks, Zach (and The Designer™).

I'm with elhonez. I'm not sure I have a single Minimate that I'd consider to depict a definitive God of Thunder but I'd definitely be tempted to put together a Franken-Thor.
As far as off-the-shelf 'mates, I'm leaning toward Best of with Classic Heroic Age as a close second. (Hail Ivan!)

I'm going to use wave 81 cyclops as a start for a custom morph
I was thinking about doing the same thing but Cyclops' X-patch is on his shoulder. Morph's is over his left breast. ☹️

Yay anyway! Thanks for the heads up, Mr. Oat.

Here is Cobra Commander riding his signature horse.
I'm no expert but isn't he facing the wrong way? And where are the handlebars? ?

I still want TNG mates. That’s the post.
[Like] ?
Just out of curiosity, from that specific show or any series from that era?

Can we get a Danny the Street sign prop while we're at it?
And a big YES to Titans, if only for a green tiger. Something about it calls to me...

Let this be my semi-regular lament for the lack of DC Comics MiniMates, 2021 edition.
If you could have had one DC assortment from 2021, what would it have been? Since I'm a sucker for Super Friends I'm kinda leaning toward Zack Snyder's Justice League but I'm thinking The Suicide Squad would be even cooler. (Sadly not WW84.)

I do love the FCBD packaging. The only thing I might have added would be some spot varnish on the logos and character art. Otherwise it's a pretty slick design. My shop owner was gushing over it.
-
Considering the next assortments haven't even been solicited yet, I'm not expecting them to hit shelves for another calendar year.

This series exceeded my expectations.
Same here. I just finished the show recently and the character designs are so Minimates-friendly it's like they were designed with the brand in mind.

“Different” being the key word here.
Yes. They're different. Glad you agree.
Besides, it would be foolish to retire a line's most popular character after a single release for a specific event.

You must not collect toys from Hasbro if this has you upset. The G.I. Joe Classified figures have been out for about a year and a half. We have received 4 different Roadblocks, 3 different Cobra Commanders, and 5 Snake Eyes (6 if you count the Fortnight one coming out) 3 Scarlets, and a few other repaints of figures.
But that's Hasbro. This is Minimates! You didn't see Marvel Minimates getting launched with two different Daredevil figures, four different Spider-Man figures, and a pair each of two different Cyclops and Wolverine figures--
?
Never mind.

I can see the appeal, even as a non-fan.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference I see with Scarlett is the lack of a holster and a recolored belt. (Unless the blue bodysuit is darker.)
Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have all the same sculpted bits from the FCBD set, just recolored.
The changes on Cobra Commander are much more significant, literally from head to toe. This must be his Casual Friday look.
Is this based on the comic or toy variants?

I'm a little concerned that double-dipping so early in the line could hurt sales, but it seems to be working pretty well for Hasbro in the Classified line.
I share that concern. DST has a long history of doing this (Star Trek 7" figures, for example) but we'll see how it works out.

I'm starting to feel like this opener will be keeping my GI Joe Minimates unopened until I can sort out what the difference is between the FCBD set and the upcoming two series. It's a little confusing to this non-Joe collector.

It doesn't look like the weapons pods deploy on the Eaglemoss version. Which is pretty sad because the Galoob's Action Fleet version, though a bit smaller, included that feature as well as a ramp for the APC.
