Let this be my semi-regular lament for the lack of DC Comics MiniMates, 2021 edition.

If you could have had one DC assortment from 2021, what would it have been? Since I'm a sucker for Super Friends I'm kinda leaning toward Zack Snyder's Justice League but I'm thinking The Suicide Squad would be even cooler. (Sadly not WW84.)

You must not collect toys from Hasbro if this has you upset. The G.I. Joe Classified figures have been out for about a year and a half. We have received 4 different Roadblocks, 3 different Cobra Commanders, and 5 Snake Eyes (6 if you count the Fortnight one coming out) 3 Scarlets, and a few other repaints of figures.

But that's Hasbro. This is Minimates! You didn't see Marvel Minimates getting launched with two different Daredevil figures, four different Spider-Man figures, and a pair each of two different Cyclops and Wolverine figures--

    ?

    Never mind.

These will be individually carded (is the plan) in a window box of four. I think between packaging and coloration differences, people will want both.

I can see the appeal, even as a non-fan.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference I see with Scarlett is the lack of a holster and a recolored belt. (Unless the blue bodysuit is darker.)

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have all the same sculpted bits from the FCBD set, just recolored.

The changes on Cobra Commander are much more significant, literally from head to toe. This must be his Casual Friday look.

Is this based on the comic or toy variants?

I'm a little concerned that double-dipping so early in the line could hurt sales, but it seems to be working pretty well for Hasbro in the Classified line.

I share that concern. DST has a long history of doing this (Star Trek 7" figures, for example) but we'll see how it works out.
