  1. To buy it from the UK puts it at around $15.99 USD before import shipping costs. Not bad if you can order it at your LCS for $19.99. When you compare the price on most Underground Toys Doctor Who figures/boxed sets, they always seem way overpriced for what you get.
  2. I'm surprised that nothing has shown on ebay yet. I received the Angels set today ....anybody else got theirs? I know exactly what you mean. most reports of having one I have seen lack a picture. These truly are super rare
  3. That's okay Dinobot, you stick to your MLP and I will stick to these @luke314pi I preordered/purchased a case from ForbiddenPlanet and it arrived yesterday. Here is my case breakdown: 9x 11th Doctor (Red Shirt) 5x Red Dalek 4x Amy Pond 4x Cyberman 4x Weeping Angel (Screaming) 3x Blue Dalek 3x Silurian 2x Smiler 1x 11th Doctor (Blue Shirt, no jacket) 1x Weeping Angel (Serene) I never noticed before that the Serene Weeping Angel has cracks painted on it. It is a very nice touch to make it a little more unique. No Super Rare I am sad to say
  4. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=32349 Gotham City Impostors I am looking forward to this one.
  5. Here are some new underground toys listings for this line on BBTS: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=UND10415&mode=retail http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=UND10414&mode=retail Case ordered!
  6. That makes sense and is a bummer for you guys. I didn't see anything that mentioned that list being exclusive to Canada. Thanks for clarifying. I can't believe after all this time I did not put in Canada when I started the thread. I feel silly now. Thank you for pointing that out to me I am gonna go fix that
  7. I guess just posting the link to an old thread about what TRU Canada was going to get is silly, so let me try that list again : Guys, this is a listing for Canada only. the only other mates they have ever carried are: Marvel Box Sets Group B -years pass- The Lord of the Rings Box Sets (dual language) -years pass- BSG wave 1 (which was called MODN [as in modern] wave 1) -years pass- Minimates Spider Man Box Set (friends and Foes) Minimates Ironman 2 (not the TRU exclusive) Marvel MINIMATES CAPTAIN AMERICA FAN POLL 4-pack Marvel MINIMATES THE HEROIC AGE BOX SET What TRU had put in their system, pushed release dates back multiple times and eventually canceled: GHOSTBUSTERS MINIMATES HALO MINIMATES SRS1 ASST HALO MINIMATES SRS1 WARTHOG VEHICLE MV-MARVEL MINIMATES SRS 8 ASST MV-MARVEL MINIMATES SRS 9 ASST I truly hope that DST pulls through for us (Canada) this time and releases them on time. This post is in response to Turtle and undeadpool as to why the mates they list are not on my release list. The reason is that they (Wave 10, Cap, HALO 2, RGB 1, and Sony and all MAX) are not coming to Canada.
  8. Sadly I stopped collecting after GLC wave 1. I enjoyed the line at the time but some very bad ebay/fwoosh purchases/trades left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't favor the line as much as I used to because of it. I found a different line of collectibles I wanted to acquire and decided to sacrifice DCUC. You are very right hellpop, when this line warms a peg, it is a long peg warm.
  9. Guys, this is a listing for Canada only. the only other mates they have ever carried are: Marvel Box Sets Group B -years pass- The Lord of the Rings Box Sets (dual language) -years pass- BSG wave 1 (which was called MODN [as in modern] wave 1) -years pass- this thread: http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=7602&st=0 EDIT: Most orders will probably be pushed back and eventually canceled. Everything ordered from DST gets pushed back. These are probably release dates that DST told TRU Canada they could deliver by, but in reality they never do.
  10. Saw this scan of the Tuesday item. That silly cut out Tardis: Looks like it is official Character Building though. I still can't decide how much I want to try and 'complete' this line.
  11. I can't stop watching this guys videos. Talking classics got me hooked and now I like all of his characters: http://www.youtube.com/user/nathanjbarnatt
  12. I have to agree with Boyd and Rad on Torchwood not being for lil ones. Though you should def give it a watch Luke. Captain Jack becomes a much more complicate and layered character then the small bits we saw of him in Doctor Who. I finally watched the third season of Torchwood this past weekend and the ending was very dark I thought. A lot more then I thought it would be. I would highly recommend The Sarah Jane Adventures for your 4 year old though. It was made with a younger target audience in mind. Even when compared with Doctor Who. I don't love it myself, but I will still watch it. I have the second and third season sitting on the shelf waiting to be watched. Anyway, back to Doctor Who. I am not looking forward to episode four of the new season. I don't know why, but I have never liked anything I have ever read by Neil Gaiman. I wish I did, people have such great praises on the way he writes.
  13. http://www.characterbuilding.eu/dr-who/micro-figures/ The official website is up and running. Looks like the Super Rare figures will be exactly that; super rare. Projected Weeping Angel : 500 only Raggedy Doctor : 500 only Amy Pond (Green Coat) : 100 only The Eleventh Doctor (Football Kit) : 100 only Silurian Alaya : 100 only I was looking forward to getting this entire line of figures/sets. Looks like it will become very difficult and very expensive. I have noticed in the past that Character usually releases all the harder to find action figures again at a later date, does anyone on here think that these super rare figures will be released in the future as a set on their own?
  14. This is going to make it harder to get them all: http://merchandise.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/character-building-super-rare-micro-figures/
  15. Please minimate Gods, please let it be Indiana Jones. That would blow my mind. I have a feeling it will mostly be movie mates they already made prototypes of to keep cost super low.
  16. Is anyone else keeping up on the PSN news? I can't believe this crap!
  17. Here is a list of minimates that may be coming to a TRU near you late this year: Halo wave 3 Halo Reach Warthog vehicle with 3 figures The Real Ghostbusters Best of Asst The Real Ghostbusters wave 2 Universal Monsters wave 2 Paramount wave 1 Marvel Best of Movie wave Marvel wave 11 Marvel wave 12 Marvel wave 13 Marvel Galactus' Heralds (Box set) Marvel vs Capcom wave 1 Marvel vs Capcom SDCC Box Set I am not sure what is new news or old news, I just though I would share what I have found. As always, I will keep you all posted if I find out more.
  18. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!! http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=character+building Looks like UndergroundToys will release these over here after all. I wonder if they will release all the sets (including 5-packs) or just the main sets.
  19. I went to work today after a two week vacation and saw these: http://www.knex.com/mariokartwii/ Very cool and a good scale for minimates. I will be purchasing the Yoshi set when we get some more in stock, and they are a good size to minimates. A little more kid friendly, but prob as close as we are gonna get.
  20. Thank you for the pics BHM. I sneriously can't wait to get these. I am slowly feeling the need to have all and every set released.
  21. ForbiddenPlanet has put up the Time of the Angels mini set for order. The blind packed minifigurines were up this morning (box of 36 or lot of 6), but they seem to have been taken down. I wonder if they reached their max number of boxes that could be ordered.
  22. Thanks for the wicked awesome update Rad. I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on these sets. I just hope the other sets that were on display are released soon too. Also, not CB related, the first North American 'Doctor Who Insider' Magazine was released yesterday in comic shops. I am on vacation, but am looking forward to it when I get home.
  23. I finally busted into my PS3 a couple weeks ago. By 'busted,' I mean I started to play the games sitting beside it. I have owned this thing for a year and a half and it has been doing a great job as a Blu Ray player until I downloaded that Scott Pilgrim game and loved it. For the most part I suck at games, and I mean really suck. The only thing I am any good at and enjoy playing are (Japanese) RPG's, which I find to be a category the PS3 lacks in. Despite my poor quality gaming skills, I can't wait to pick up a Sharpshooter and Dead Space Extraction. That is gonna be sweet. A friend I recently (he would say finally) added on the PS3 and I played TMNT turtles in Time online. My first time playing online/multiplayer ever and it felt exactly like it did in public school playing the same game at my friends house during lunch. I am now hooked on video games once more. Today I downloaded That Costume Quest game and am really enjoying it. I am going on a Florida trip the next couple of weeks with the wife and the in-laws. I hope to find a Sharpshooter (as it is super hard to find) and a copy of the Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland Premium Edition. One more thing to add that I find silly. I have all three versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum (regular, Collectors and 3D editions), do you think that is a little much?
  24. Thanks for all the advice guys
