  1. Don't forget that a The Silent 5-pack has been released at retail recently. Two of the five have an open mouth which is different then the blind pack figures. The strange Temporal Shields sets have ben released. By my understanding, there are different variations with different minifigures. A rerelease of the 5" tardis playset was released with an 11th doctor CB figure. I don't know if he is different at all. I saw pics of all the new stuff yesterday morning on a few different sites and I have no interest in the vanishing tardis or Let's Kill Hitler playsets. The others I NEED! Also, the (promotional) picture of series 3 does not show all the figures they had on display. So it is possible that they are showing the variants right away. The Black Dalek is not on the poster, so maybe we are to assume he is a chase variant for example. EDIT: also, in the background of some pics I saw it looks like CB will have new lines... possibly Ben10.
  2. Well, right before inventory it seems TRU Canada has canceled all other future orders. I will keep checking to find out what they may order next. From what I can tell it seems like the figures have been selling well across the country. Keep your fingers crossed that new orders will open up.
  3. Hmmm, seems like a fun thread. What I am looking forward to in 2012: Life: Continuing College to get a career Films: The Hobbit, Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, Arrietty the Borrower, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D Television: Doctor Who, How I met your mother, BBC Sherlock season 2, BBC Being Human season 4 Games: PS3: Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, everything else Level 5 releases in english, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Toys: QMX Sonic Screwdriver Replicas
  4. "Reviving lines that were thought defunct" My guess is the TRU Paramount wave. All theses defunct lines in one series.
  5. I would like to know who this Zac is. Also, where is she trying to return the Buffalo Thor set? Back in Buffalo? The reason I ask is because she won't be able to properly return it up here, its UPC will not be in the database.
  6. And if you can find them before Christmas, $5.57 a pack. On sale
  7. My Fellow Canadians.... we got Marvel wave 12
  8. Anybody else see this yet? http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/12/09/doctor-who-the-eternity-clock-coming-to-ps3-and-ps-vita/ I know the Nintendo games released are terrible. The Wii's Doctor Who: Return to Earth is known as being the 'worst Wii game of the year' and the DS Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth is very simplistic. The iOS game was decent. This will not stop my excitement though. I honestly can not wait until this game comes out. With games for the PS3 and Vita being region free, I am mos def going to import this one. Anyone else excited? And how cool would Doctor Who PS3 trophies be?
  9. The Heralds of Galactus box set has hit Canadian TRU stores. My store got in twelve. 16.99 I believe. Watch out for those Marvel sales, odds are these sets will be included in them. Happy hunting.
  10. The classic controllers are all the same thing yes. It is more the idea of having a SNES controller I can use on the wii for nostalgia purposes. It may be expensive, but totally worth it to me because of my love for the SNES.
  11. Hello multiverse, I am looking for some help. I am in dire need of the UK's (European) Club Nintendo's Wii Super NES Classic Controller. The SNES was my first and favorite Video Game system and I have tons of SNES games on my wii virtual console. I am wondering if any of the kind members here have any (UK, German, France) nintendo club point codes they do not plan on using and if they would be willing to pass them onto me. I would be eternally grateful for any assistance. I will find some way to make it up to anyone willing to help me out.
  12. Yup, there is no Kingdom Hearts on the PS3.... yet. Kingdom Hearts III might be. It is hard to say. Kingdom Hearts are far and few between. One or two for most systems. 2 on PS2, 2 on DS, 1 on PSP, 1 on GBA, upcoming one for 3DS. There is also a trading card game you could always get... PS3 did just start a PS2 classics like their PS1 classics (download games). If SquareEnix is to do what they did for the PS1 classics, I would not be surprised to see the Kingdome Hearts games released for the PS2 classics soon enough. PS3's are amazeballs though. Region free, Bluray... cool stuff like that If your son is into cute Japanese RPG's, There is one coming out called Ni No Kuni (makers of the Dark Cloud series on PS2[if you never played them, I would suggest you pick them up ]) next year that I am super excited for. I would recommend replacing the PS2 though, there are a lot of games worth replaying on that one.
  13. Can we see some pictures of these Target packs. Also saw this in a doctor Who forum: Temporal Shields http://doctorwhotoys.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=17114&sid=27219640e078d575aa68f61fb0524d60
  14. Those are still on order. I won't know if they are canceled or not until they ship.
  15. Any of my fellow Canadians find any Marvel vs Capcom in the Canadian TRU's yet?
  16. you use the figures on a dome to have that figure "transport" into the game. All stats earned in-game stay with the specific figure you used. not the character, that specific piece. Built in memory. the figure you just used to play on your PS3 can then be used on the wii, which then can be used on your 3DS. Multi-platform capabilities for each piece. [Which includes the PS3, Xbox360, Wii, PSP, DS, 3DS and even the computer] You don't have to own multiples of the same character because you want it for both your handheld and console. Spyro is still a popular franchise and in demand. Look at how much the PS3 Spyro (NTSC version) game sells for on the secondary market. Retailers have a lot of faith in this product line, TRU has lots of exclusive planned. Activision is a powerhouse for making money in the gaming industry, according to a manager I talk to. There is still a lot I don't know... like if you have to own a separate dome for each platform.
  17. I am a little surprised to see this set come to North America: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=UND10466&mode=retail Is it not strange that Underground Toys is releasing the Dalek and Cyberman 5-packs but not the Weeping Angel 5-pack?
  18. Yup, my store had the Halo Warthog last night. When I checked the computer, it said the other sets had been shipped. Some stores even show sales of the 2-packs. Glad I can be of some help.
  19. Okay fellow Canadians. Call up your local TRU and ask for these: 090026 Halo Reach Warthog vehicle w 3 figures 090050 Real Ghost Busters wave 2 089702 Universal Monsters wave 2 Happy hunting
  20. I was just looking on the site and it looks like Alex Kingston had to cancel.
  21. As of checking right now, that Tesco 20 fig set is half price at £17.50. I am not sure when or how to find out when the sale price ends.
  22. Got my UK case of series 2 today. 7x Silent 5x The Doctor 4x Amy Pond 4x Cyberleader 4x Romans Auton 4x Supreme Dalek 3x Vampire girl 3x Rory 1x River Song 1x Amy Pond Police Uniform Once again, no super Rare. But I will have my second chance when Underground Toys release their cases through Diamond. I also have the giant Tardis Control Room coming next week. I wonder what will be next for the Doctor Who line...
  23. Old news, but I wil share it anyway. The 11 Doctor set has a super rare variant in which some, not all, of the doctors are a little different. http://doctorwhotoys.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=13307&start=130 Wave 2 of the minifigs also have Super Rares: http://doctorwhotoys.net/characterbuildingseries2.htm I also saw the Underground Toys release of these yesterday and all they did to make the packages different is put on a b&w sticker over the Character logo. I was hoping for new printing package variations.
  24. I did not see much this summer, but here are my vote's Best: Captain America (I will admit that due to Thor being really boring IMO, I had low expectations for this. I was greatly surprised. Kinda makes me want the PS3 game) Super 8 (Oddly enjoyed more for the non-Science Fiction relationship scenes involving the kids. Great acting) Smurfs (It kept with continuity rather then making it a more modern origin story)(I also loved the smurfs as a kid and had low expectations for this one) Most films I would define as 'bad' I assumed would be before I paid (and wanted) to see them. For example, the two hour toy commercial that is a Transformers Movie. Other Films I would define as 'bad" are ones people hype the shit out of and I expect to be the next Shawshank Redemption (or whatever your mind-blown-fav-film-of-all-time-movie might be) but end up letting you down. Worst: Thor, though, I had high hopes for and it ended up being really boring for me. Horrible Bosses (hyped and did not deliver) F'n 3D (I hate 3D, I already have to wear glasses to see a movie. Why would I want to pay more for a second pair so that the film has depth, and not the good kind of depth where you learn more about the fictional characters and thus care more about their fates. no thank you) My list looks odd and people will agree and disagree about many opinions I have shared, but this is what I saw and thought this past summer.
  25. Don't get your hopes up. Every time we Canadians have been scheduled to get a "wave" of minimates at TRU it usually end up getting cancelled at the last minute. We'll be lucky if we get a boxed set or two like last year. Sorry to be a Donny Downer, but that seems to be the trend with TRU Canada. Amen brother
