  1. Two things to announce: Most, if not all store exclusive DLC is on the PS3. Apparently Square Enix is not happy with the sales of the game. "At 3.4 million copies sold since release, it is considered a relative failure for Square Enix." That is kinda sad.
  2. Haha, yeah... it probably is.... but I got this feeling you didn't actually read my post. You do make a good point though, I should grow some patience and wait it out. I'm sure it will be for sale on the PSN soon enough. I mean, all of those exclusive Arkham City skins have been released... but at the same time, the Green Lantern Wal-Mart exclusive skin for that Manhunters game was never available on PSN in North America. Ah DLC, how one will never know if one can have it all.
  3. If anybody has an extra North American code for the Bestbuy exclusive Aviatrix Skin DLC for the PS3, I am looking to purchase or trade it from you.
  4. Hello people, I don't come 'round here often these days but I still keep an eye out for my fellow Canadians. Today I went into work (I work one shift at TRU a week) and saw the walking dead series two on the shelf and decided to see what else is coming in. Turns out that everything that was 'active' in the computer is now in stores or on it's way in the upcoming week. This includes these exclusive waves: Walking Dead series 2 590681 $7.99 Marvel wave 15 154563 $7.99 Marvel Fan Poll Box Set 158402 $14.99 I am not up on minimates at all, so I have no idea what the new fan poll box set is, but that's the description the shelf tag will display. If you respond with questions, I will probably not see them. Just stopped by to share the good news. Almost forgot, there are no other sku's in the system at the moment. Happy hunting!
  5. Invincible is a great comic. I quite enjoy it. I will probably be purchasing this plastic statue to go along with the invincible heroclix I already own. I hope this statue sells well. Wether or not this statue sells well will probably be the deciding factor if they decide to pursue different lines of collectibles with the invincible brand.
  6. Picked up Saints Row The Third: Full Package this past tuesday. My friend showed it to me a month ago and I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this version of the game. I am addicted to it. 8 hours in with barely any main story done. Just havin fun!
  7. Looks like that Young Justice 2-pack is not gonna happen.
  8. This thread reminds me of a car accident on the side of a highway. You kinda slow down and can't help but look at the mangled mess.
  9. Okay, proper update. Hitting stores as I type this: Marvel vs capcom wave 3 Halo wave 5 Universal Monsters wave 3 Currently on Order: (may be canceled) Marvel wave 14 Marvel wave 15 Marvel Fan poll box set Expendibles series 2 box set Walking Dead series 1 Walking Dead series 2
  10. Well, looks like Marvel vs Capcom wave 3 has hit Canada's Toyrus stores.
  11. I feel the need to chime in and say that I have an understanding of how something entirely unrelated to a film can affect how you feel about viewing it. My examples are no where near the extreme that was the shooting, but they still left my enjoyment of the film lacking. Movies (and any future sequels) I will never watch are the Kick Ass and Narnia films. In my experience, when people are upset (more like having a strong emotional response to an event) it is usually caused by a secondary occurrence that is affecting their life. A bad example is when a spouse gets upset about a dirty kitchen and explodes at the other, but the failing relationship is actually causing the strong emotions to emerge. Even though they might not see it in the heat of the moment. I have no doubt in my mind that an act of wasteful violence is at the source of this film being 'ruined' for yourself (and nobody will ever truly know how it has made you feel on a personal level, they can only say they understand). But maybe, just maybe, there are other influences beyond this specific incident that is affecting your willingness to watch and enjoy DKR. Anyway, just the ramblings of a mad fella who enjoys making people think. I will leave you with a quote: "In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." -Albert Einstein
  12. Looks like Paul Dini will not be back to write another arkham game http://kotaku.com/5931338/writer-of-arkham-city-wont-be-back-for-the-next-batman-game
  13. I believe Big Chiefs 3rd or 4th 1/6 scale figure is going to be the Weeping Angel. Announced some time ago if I recall. Luke, those customs/mods look amazing! EDIT: Luke, did you see that QMX is making a 1/6 scale tardis. They showed it at SDCC.
  14. A couple of days ago I traded in most of my games. I find I never find the time to play anything and have decided to only purchase games I have full intent on playing through (or studios whose games I collect; level 5, thatgamecompany, team ico, valve). Not ones I think I may get around to some day. I have also decided to put hardcore trophy hunting behind me. It was fun, but I wasted a lot of money on games I never cared about because it was an easy plat. Don't get me wrong, if I can get some PS-plus (when I use free trial months) freebies or easy games from the local library, I will totes trophy whore it up, I just can't justify spending money on intangible achievements like I used to. Turns out your ''man hood'' isn't as big as how many psn trophies you have... I never knew... Anyway, to what I am currently playing, I am finally taking the time to play through Arkham Asylum (with the intent of playing Arkham City after). I am only a few hours into Asylum, but oh man is it amazing!
  15. I finally saw this film last night and really enjoyed it. I was talking with one of my toy collector buddies after and he asked me which film of the DK trilogy was my favourite and I replied with "I like all three as a group. All are different flavours but best when served together." I think the scene I enjoyed the most was the small part with the kid stealing the apple and Catwoman telling the thugs to stay off her block. I was all "Oh Snap! No Man's Land reference!!!!" No Man's Land and the Batman Animated series are what got me into loving batman, I had a big nerd boner. It kinda made me wonder why Nolan did not play up a little more No Man's Land with five months of Gotham being cut off from the rest of the world. Maybe hinting at a Jokers block/neighbourhood or something. I understand not doing it out of respect, but it would have been pretty awesome to have some Joker flavour in Dark Knight Rises.
  16. I was once at a friend of a friends birthday party a couple years back and saw them playing MarioKart 64 on a fairly fancy tv. Though I was a little intoxicated at the time, I remember it looking really bad on that particular tv.
  17. I would like to see DST go after the valve license: Portal 1&2 Half-Life 1&2 + episodes 1&2 (and that recently revealed episode 3 concept art) Left 4 Dead 1&2 Team Fortress 2 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Maybe minimates based on the upcoming video game The Last of Us Finally, as always, Blade Runner! I don't need them right now, but maybe when that new movie rolls around... DST could make mates for the new movie AND the old movie!
  18. I am starting to feel a little torn about my Doom Patrol display. I will have the main roster completed: Robotman, both versions of Negative Man and Elasti-Girl when October rolls around. I also own Beast Boy and can't decide if I want to display him with my Doom Patrol team. Do I get Monsieur Mallah because he is a villain of Doom Patrol? Do I start to purchase/display different team rosters? Metamorpho (which I own) and the announced Elongated Man are a part of Doom Patrol's third roster. Do I hold onto hope that Mattel will some day get around to making (in 6" style) The Chief, Mento, The Brain and, to a lesser extent, perhaps Crazy Jane. What kind of advice would my fellow Toy collectors have? EDIT: whoops, I just noticed that Monsieur Mallah comes with The Brain.
  19. Did you purchase the Public Enemies series or 6" Young Justice line to fill out your DCUC collection? I think if one goes as far as to get those lines for their DCUC (including Green Lantern classics, Batman Legacy and DC Superheroes) collection, then my answer would be; you need Watchmen too hommie! The Watchmen figures would look nice with a complete DCUC collection.
  20. Elasti-Girl in October. The one thing I was hoping to see from the SDCC toy news! Lots of other DCUC news, but I wil leave that for someone else to post
  21. This Q&A from insidepulse.com (on December 16, 2011) is what gives me hope for Elasti-Girl: Perhaps I am reading into it too much, but it sounds as if Matty has had serious discussions about Elasti-girl.
  22. I believe the second half of the years subscription will be shown at SDCC. I believe that was the plan from what I can recall. I have my fingers crossed for an Elasti-Girl. I need to finish my Doom Patrol!
