  1. Those Lego figs are awesome. I really like how his Gokaigers (especially Don) look. I hope he expands it to include Gold, Cyan, Grey, Violet and Silver. I agree with what last few guys have said; I think some of the non-MMPR/Zyuranger suits are just as good (maybe even... better?) as the "iconic" ones. I'd personally like to see Ninja Storm/Hurricaneger and Samurai/Shinkenger minimates as I'm a big fan of how both teams look. I know it's a bit much, but I'd also love it if they each came with two sets of heads - the American MMPR version (say Jason for MMMPR season 1) and their Super Sentai equivalent (i.e. Geki from Zyuranger). However I appreciate the number of Sentai/Minimate fans may not be as big as number of PR/Minimate fans, and even then, the Sentai heads may not appeal as much to younger fans either. Also on a slight tangent, I saw this video a few days ago and though some people may be interested.
  2. MMPR season 1 is an adaption of the Super Sentai series "Zuyranger" and in it the yellow ranger was male and I'm guessing they changed him to a woman to add more gender diversity. Other series like Gingaman, which became Lost Galaxy and Gaoranger, which became Wild Force also had a mostly male team and one member made female for diversity. I'm curious to see if they do the same with the current Sentai series Kyoryuger. That's the reason why when in costume Kimberly had a skirt and lady parts, but Trina did not. Exactly. I'd both love to see MMPR but at the same time would be hesitant. I've recently become a bit of a Super Sentai fan; I watched and LOVED Gokaiger and like many fans am unsure about the "Super Megaforce" direction the adaption is taking (i.e. the cast won't line up as well as their Sentai counter part, the costumes are now power ups to the Megaforce costumes and the pirate-style story Gokaiger had is unlikely). On the one hand if a PR license gave me minimates of the Gokaiger costumes then I'd be throwing money at my monitors until they appear in my hands. However as they'd be based on the American adaptation and not the characters I knew and loved it wouldn't be the same, i.e. it wouldn't be Captain Marvelous under "Gokai" Red's helmet. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the license was aimed more at the first few season of MMPR as opposed to the later ones. Now I loved MMPR as a kid and while I stopped watching around Season 3/Zeo, I have watched a few reviews of the later series which has lead to a passing interest in them, watched Gokaiger (as previously mentioned) and been watching PR Samurai/Super Samurai on NetFlix and as a result, would like to get some of those as well as the MMPR crew.

  4. Ahh Power Rangers. I remember loving this show when I was a kid To be honest I'd be more interested in Super Sentai - the series Power Rangers is adapted from - than just straight up Power Rangers. I watched Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger about seven months back (space pirates with the power to transform into the 34 other Sentai teams and the sixth ranger is a die hard Sentai fanboy) and utterly LOVED that series. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Power Rangers Samurai get made into minimates. With all the different forms - Super, Mega, Super Mega and Shogun to name a few, there is A LOT of potential for variants and/or accessories. Sadly the licence seems to be with Mega Bloks and while I do like some of the figs they've produced I do think Minimates would handle them better.
  5. Thanks everyone. I was away for a few days getting my car fixed/seeing family, so I missed this .
  6. As a former anime/manga fanatic I alas would like nothing less than Naruto minimates. Of the various Shonen series I read, Naruto quickly ran out of steam for me (and all but killed the credibility of ninjas in my eyes) and at times seemed to borrow ideas from better series (check out Hunter x Hunter to see what I mean. It came out a year or so before Naruto and had some ideas that Naruto seemed to later adopt, plus it's an AMAZING series that never seemed to get the praise it deserved). Personally I'd rather see minimates based upon the top Shonen series in Japan - One Piece (and yes I am aware they aren't always very pirate like), but any fan worth their salt knows how unlikely it is due to the impact the series failed to make in the west, both due to legal issues preventing scans and fansubs circulating (apparently they weren't a problem when Naruto came around, making it easier for that series to make an impact) and the less said about the 4Kids "adaptation" the better. Having said that I did enjoy other series like Bleach, Shaman King, Death Note (at least up to volume 7), Roruni Kenshin and of course DragonBall so if anime/manga minimates could lead to characters from any of those series (hell I'd love to see characters from Rave Master and Fairy Tail but they're owned by a different company so unlikely) I could tolerate SOME Naruto minimates
  7. Hmm. I voted for Black Acrylic, but after reading Nessex;s comment I now wish I went for clear as I do agree with what he said.
  8. I LOVE the fighting stage one These all look great; nice work on them Luke
  9. Wait Nina came with a knife? Mine is missing it. Does anyone have a spare one to hand or is it worth me contacting DST for a replacement (I have heard they can send to the UK)?
  10. ..... Yeah I meant rival. I can't even blame the fact I posted that when I was on my phone. Ironically I waited until I was back at my computer
  11. Seeing as how Ghostbusters is one of my ALL time favourite movies, I can't wait for more minimates. But a thought crossed my mind - what if it's based off the IDW comic? After all, IDW did the Battle Beasts comic based off the minimates; perhaps as part of the deal DST would do minimates of one of their franchises, and seeing as how they've done GB before... If this is the case, I will honestly EXPLODE with joy. The comic consideres the game canon, so we could finally get the Rookie, it's introduced some interesting ghosts and even taken designs and ideas from the other Ghostbuster's projects (i.e. Kylie Griffin from Extreme Ghostbusters and another character based off Egon's design), a team of river Ghostbusters and the current storyline which I won't spoil. Sufficed to say I feel there's a lot they could do with this aspect of the licence if this is indeed the case
  12. I have to say, I agree though I will add Invincible, Walking Dead and Star Trek to the second paragraph. Admittedly the Nick Fury Jr/Steve Rogers combo fig is great and I am likely to get two of him now so I can display both versions. The Marvel Now Iron Man looks good as does the Hulk so if they're in a two pack together I will probably get them. I am hopeful for more Ghostbusters after that art someone noticed and a comment Zach made elsewhere
  13. Alien.... Minimates...?! FRICKING ALIEN MINIMATES?! That's my best mate's 30th birthday present sorted If you guys ever do Highlander minimates (even if it's a one off four pack) then I'd have minimates from three of my all time favourite films (the other being Ghostbusters).
  14. While i haven't been able to commission you as much as I'd have liked (sodding lack of funds ). your work is amazing and I feel they will be sorely missed . Heck I probably wouldn't have started my own "Replacement Superman Mon-El" custom if it wasn't for your work.
  15. They've turned out beautifully, especially the Nova army builders. I've not bothered trying to get army builders in a while due to the hassle and financial issues it can cause but I can see myself trying with that one (sorry wallet). Better start selling my old comics to build up PayPal funds .
  16. I've not read 700 or Superior yet, but I made a post on my Tumblr blog after seeing a (fake) picture of Stan Lee shredding ASM #700, outlining my entire thoughts on the matter. Having said that...
  17. How about expanding this so it's effects in multiple colours, like say fire, water, electrical and ice effects, as well as perhaps Hadouklen/KameHameHa style energy blasts, again in different colours. Some fire effects could then be given to SFxT's Ken, electrical effect to Kazuya and Heihachi and water effects to a Mera custom I have. Some more custom bases would be good, especially ones that could allow for fighting game style poses. I also wouldn't mind seeing various kinds of weapons (namely cutlasses and katanas) that I can give to people like Nightcrawler.
  18. I think DLC characters are more likely for a fourth wave, and when I mentioned my preference for fellow DLC character Dudley, Zach implied he wasn't on the cards, and I feel that applies to the rest, annoyingly. Plus I heard they are only planning three waves and I think there's thirteen characters left in the initial line up, as much as I hate to say this, the DLC characters are unlikely. Don't get me wrong; I'd rather have Cody, Dudley, Elena and Guy over Rufus, Bison, Balrog and Vega but I think the main roster is the priority.
  19. This is why I've always preferred B/C-List series like X-Factor, Booster Gold, Guardians of the Galaxy, Secret Six, Nova and Incredible Hercules. I always found it hard to agree with the anti-Marvel&DC/pro-indie approach when such great series were being published. Too bad only one remains today (although Demon Knights, Swamp Thing and Animal Man are all amazing)... As a fan of both Miguel and Ben Reilly, I was REALLY hopeful Superior would be one of them, especially when rumors and fan theories suggested it could happen. As this doesn't seem to be the case and worse, seems to derive from a "dick move" I've lost most of my interest.
  20. You also left off my main Dudley . But you could do a "British Gentleman with Dignity" two pack, adding in SF1's Eagle. That aside, I think this is the perfect way to do Street Fighter, though maybe go the "Marvel route" and mix up the mainstream with the obscure, say two "classics" and two "obscures" per boxset. As much as I'd prefer the three SFIII sets you proposed (but maybe replace Q with Dudley), I think you and I would be the only people to buy them. I remember seeing that post... I HONESTLY wish I could have slapped the person who wrote it, as, like you said, they had no idea how minimates are made, who by etc.
  21. llama - The latest ask DST said that Wave 3 is no longer on the cards. And I agree. Considering as how SFxT didn't explore the more interesting aspects of both series roster (blah blah blah, I like obscure characters, blah blah blah, down with the mainstream ones that the casuals know, blah blah blah, more love for the obscures only the hardcore know), I do think a line that tied in with SSF4 AE and tied in with TTT2 would have been BRILLIANT! However DST has said they aren't a game-toy making company, which is probably why. I'm guessing they got MvC3 due to the connection to Marvel and SFxT was a side product of that perhaps?
  22. Like Dr Bagman I too have sadly given up hope on wave 3 (and also wish we WEREN'T getting Rufus over everyone else), but as this wave includes a number of my favourites from Tekken (including my "main" Hwoarang!) I'm looking forward to getting this wave
  23. I'm not familiar with X-Spider but I like how he looks. Which face did you use, as it looks like it would be perfect for a Ben Reilly quick custom I am working on.
