This thread is set up for everyone to discuss Ultimate Marvel Universe, and maybe some comparisons with the regular 'verse. Can I just ask that, as I am in the UK I'm a little behind on some issues, and so if you are going to talk about the latest issues, could you put it in spoiler box things. Would be muchly appreciated. I collect Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Spider-man and Ultimates. I think these are much better than regular Marvel U stuff as you don't have years of back stories and continuity to wade through, and they are modern. Mark Millar (writer of Ultimate X-Men and Ultimates) and Bryan Hitch (Artist of Ultimates) bring a new look to the Marvel U, and give it a modern freshness. Any thoughts?

Which Minimate lines came out as 3 inch? Does anyone know if a 3" mate came with a helmet or mask piece? Any ideas where I could get a 3" mate for a custom, or does anyone have a spare that I could trade for/ buy. Answers and help will be greatly appreciated.

I think Lizard will be in the next one, and I really hope that we see Venom again or Carnage. Venom seems unlikely though and it would be a different character. I hope Lizard and Carnage. I really liked the idea of two villains, but i agree with others about the lack of character development. Doc Conners character has already been introduced in the last three movies and so we wouldn't be missing out on much development. We know he is Peter's teacher, and Peter trusts him (taking the symbiote to him). I'd also really like to see Electro, but perhaps without the bright green and yellow costume.

I'm a bit of a noob too. Its good to see other people are getting into mates at the same time as me.

I'd love to see more Ultimate Minimates out. Ultimate X-Men- -Ultimate Iceman -Ultimate Colossus -Ultimate Beast -Ultimate Nightcrawler -Ultimate Angel Ultimates -Ultimate Captain America -Ultimate Iron Man -Ultimate Giant Man (maybe 2.5" or 3") -Ultimate Hawkeye -Ultimate Thor Classic Avengers -Hawkeye -Vision -Ant-man -Wasp -Jarvis, of course :biggrin: Brotherhood of Mutants -Pyro -Blob -Toad -Sabretooth -Avalanche

Marvel have never been good at continuity. I mean how many times has Jean Grey/ Pheonix died and they've made up some clone story or whatever other rubbish they can think of. That's why I stick with the Ultimate Universe. As it's fairly young the continuity is good.
