  1. Whoa Whoa Whoa... It only costs $1,000 to make a custom minimate? Is this for real? I understand licensing is expensive but I would not make one off of any existing characters or intellectual properties. If so, Zach and Digger, please PM me immediately! I would like to do something nice for the community for the 10 year celebration, even if it takes 3-4 months to get it out the door into my hands. I would do a higher production run obviously and I would be willing to sell and distribute to only board members within this community that have positive feedback on the buy/sale tread first.
  2. Can someone please share the link of BHM's collection? I never saw these but heard he has more minimates than anyone.
  3. Zach you rock! Go Gold Vorins!!!!!! I was thinking of finally showing off my collection once and for all, but I get soooo paranoid doing stuff like that. I know it's not like someone would attempt to rob me (no sane man would come to the gun wielding south and attempt a home invasion, it seems like everyone owns at least 2-3 guns here), but I just feel a bit secretive about it all. My only concern is people will just think... That Ass*ole has so many minimates... he doesn't need a Gold Vorin on top of it... but having collected mates for 10 years and as aggressively as I have... I feel like it might be the time to show it off. So now I am stuck trying to figure out what to post.
  4. The Spoiler Image is actually War Machine in his new suit... there was speculation that it was Detroit Steel... but nope it's the new WM. As for the confirmed villains, I heard a rumor that Mandarin is sorta like the "Osborn Character" in Amazing Spiderman. So he will be a huge villian mastermind, and Cold Blood and Fire Power are sorta like hench men characters. I don't know about them showcasing Rescue but it I guess more Marvel Characters would be cool.
  5. Wow, BHM owns his own lake? That's some High Ass Rolling right there... Does he live on a private Estate? That concept of owning your own personal lake is so foreign to me, but it sounds great. Growing up we had a large man made lake, but it was owned by the State and we shared it with all the neighbors that had property touching the lake. If you tried to fish too much out of it you'd get a heavy fine and potentially banned from fishing on it.
  6. I just saw this and very curious how you were conned into staying at a place that was closed and of poor quality. I'll be traveling to Europe next year and have been using the travel sites to book places. BTW Those hand ninja's always seem to sell quickly on ebay as long as you're not trying to get more than 15.00 USD for a non-variant.
  7. I understand some people still being nervous about Winter Solider and Falcon, even if they are confirmed in the Captain America Movie Sequel. I can't help but have flashbacks to the "Wolverine Origin" Blob. It was a poor substitute for the Comic/616, and has yet to be remade in classic comic form.
  8. I agree a Ghost Rider Bike would rock and I'd take one with legs not removable. It could be a vehicle pack like the Halo Warthog or Pirate Ship... Onslaught was actually on my list. I imagined him to look like a Nemesis crossed with Magneto, with almost 100% new sculpting. I'm not a fan of cyborg Spiderman but can see a Deathlok figure being a huge WIN! They can do a classic costume and an X-Force costume Variant! However, Nova Corps??? ugh... Thanks for releasing an Army pack I don't need to buy 16 of...
  9. I agree that variants make NO MORE extra money for toy manufacturers and I am not a big fan. This might come from my days as a JLU collector, but toys need to be accessible to fans to drive value and demand. A good example are DC mates. They were packed evenly in the case, but have appreciated nicely in price and were never short packed and available in all comic stores for order when initially released. There are technically rares but they are driven by demand not some f**ked up distribution technique. For the record, it was NOT just a Gold Spiderman and it did NOT sell for $3,000. It was almost $1,000 less when purchased and that would have put each figure at about 1,000.00 each. So I don't know if they intentionally inflated it to $3,000 for a Gold to make it more sensational, but it is WRONG. It was BOTH a Gold and a Silver MIB Spiderman and they were both AFA Boxed and Certified as NM-Mint and it was both a confirmed #49/50 and #49/50 twin set. That is so much more rare than just a Gold Spider, it's not even comparable... If I knew that the purchase would spawn an argument in favor of these Demon Gold knock offs .... Damn it... ugh....
  10. Damn this Gold Exclusive. Mattel does very good with their MOTU subs and with the large subs and fans that buy each release (even if it is just a repaint or slight mod) they can produce super exclusives and it goes to the die hard fans who spend their hard earned money on this line. Not a bunch of celebrities that don't know what a minimate is or could care less going through the leg work to get a 100.00 bucks off ebay. I know alot of the veterans like myself on this board feel a hard face slap.... especially when we have literally spent thousands on this line over the years.
  11. Do not covet the Golden Calf-uh... Golden Ram...
  12. I also have extra Unopened Vorins if any kind soul would like to trade for an unopened blue Vorin
  13. Definitely the max 10 was a good change to keep these on the site longer. Having folks buy 25-30 of these to scalp on ebay (Minimates Menagerie) was becoming old for folks that could not log in within 24 hours to buy from TRU.com Also makes sense if TRU is upping their production #s. The variants from the non movie waves sell like hotcakes from their stores.
  14. Bear Guy for Ursa Major, and the hunch back can make a sick Mr. Hyde Quick Custom.
  15. Pride of Bagdad was the bomb no doubt. I guess the only reason I was more impacted by #100 was because I've been collecting/reading the comics since #1 first print, and when you read it that slowly you grow really attached to main characters. Maybe if I just read all the trades at once I would not care or hold onto any character that long, but for me this has been years of reading and yesterday I was blown away. I can't help but feel like #106 might be the revenge of Rick. But I almost like this new set up too much to see Negan's group and the biker groups disband after only 6 issues. Can't wait to read the next issue!
  16. Darn it! 2 Stealth minimates are the only the main thing everyone on this board that participated really looked forward to. Comics are good, but MINIMATE FEVER can only be cured with a Stealth Vorin...
  17. Saw these at my local store today too. He did not have any stealth Vorins and only 1 standard cover to choose from. I look forward to luke sending them in for me!
  18. I don't think I've ever written about a comic book on this site, but Walking Dead #100 really was a solid read and great on many levels. I recommend picking up at least one of the covers. If anyone else reads the comics let me know what you think. SPOILERS: Did anyone else notice there are 2 different gangs attacking? The gang attacking Rick's camp at dawn and Negan's group coming back in 1 week? Double Trouble for Rick! Rick's lucky Rabbit Foot is now gone (I am sad to see) - and there is a heads up that #106 will be the true milestone and even more main character deaths. Who do you think is next?
  19. I broke down and paid almost 2X as much on ebay, but the damn TRU.com site was taking forwever, and then did waited over a week to list/sell Boomer and Ricter. At least I have them now.
  20. Stealth Vorin looks solid. Glad to be getting one!
  21. I personally have never had DST help me with any of my production errors except for with my Rocky missing Hair Pieces years back. I must admit that Quality Control can leave alot to be desired, but these are still some of the collest and best toys on the market. For the big collectors on the board, we can see it with a better perspective. For example, when I buy 8 packs of Sinister/Nimrod packs and 4 out of the 8 packs have 2 left legs or 2 right legs (Long Boot Cut makes it obvious on Sinister) you just know that you're not the only one in the community getting bad Quality. Luckily because I always order duplicates I always can swap parts or find one that is fine and use the rest for custom fodder. I've considered selling them on ebay, but don't want to screw people over with the feeling of getting only one pack and it be messed up. But yes, I emailed DST a couple times and no response. I actually stopped emailing DST after that wave as none of my emails or posts were responded to. So now I just curse under my breath and move on. **Shakes head looking at 3 mutilated SHIELD 616 Gun Holders**
  22. Cross my fingers the next one on Wii U will be a little less Level Revisiting. I just personally rather play a 5-6 hour game than a 12 hour game that has you revisit every area over 10 times to get the story progressing. Especially for a new system like Wii U, they should invest in Level Creating. I think Mario Games on Wii usually Master this balance, with so many many distinct levels. You usually do not have to revisit EVERY world more than once unless you WANT to get more stars or bonuses/achievements and the boss levels are super fun and visually exciting.
  23. Yes Maximum Carnage Box Sets could introduce: Shriek, Doppelganger, Demo-Goblin, Morbius, Deathlok, and an updated Carnage with a Cletus alternate head. But I digress, Venom Through The Ages Box Set ROCKS!
  24. Thanks for the info on the Ultimate Electro / Electric Eel connection. Wow, very cool interview. Thank god for the confirmation that SPOILER: It is 100% NOT Norman Osborne and a "Lacky" or "Henchman" under the employment of Oscorp. Than my guess on Electro seems to fit the mystery character. I can definitely enjoy and look forward to an Electro Battle in Amazing Spider-man 2! Decent setup and all the clues are there....
