I am working on a crap load of pics, will soon display my minimate collection. I'll work on some DBZ figure pics as well. Holy Crap that Freezer, Nappa, and 18 are AWESOME! These toy makers keep sculpting and making new molds and keep so true to the art/style. Nice to see so many more coming and they aren't cheating on articulation or tooling. Now we just need the remaining androids and Ginyu Force for the Win! I also would not mind some other forms of Freezer and Cell. Damn this line is awesome!

If you pledge $258 (or more) you can get all 10. There is an '8 for 88' option as well but we're still waiting to hear from Digger which 2 are missing from that reward package. I could give 2 sh*ts about Heavy Metal Presents books. I just wanted the 10 mates and the 258 was the only option at the time. When I saw I would get 2 more mates that were exclusive I put in the fouth pledge under my work email address. Not trying to take away my pledge, but I feel screwed by an error out of my control. I'll buy 2 of the 108.00 packages so I don't hurt the fundraising, but I want to cancel my original $258 pledge due to the option to get all 10 mates being available now.

The verdict is in... no go on the second custom Minimate. My wife actually called me out and said the dinner better not be some lame excuse to butter her up. But bless her heart, she did let me pledge another $258 for the exclusive 10 Minimates bundle. Lol, I hear ya. I wouldn't want one of my wife either! I've also don't have joint accounts so that helps with all the crap I buy. Now, It's cool that you would get one of yourself. If I paid them I would be selfish and choose a mate they would never do. Probably, Vader or something Star Wars related but who knows maybe you cant do licensed material. I would hope for $1000 you could choose whatever you want. I hope Digger gets his goal so we can see it! I think there is a licensing issue... but now would be a good time for me to mention the HighAssRoller is always seen wearing black, a cape, and a mechanical like Breathing Apparatus.

Understood, yes I only bought one custom and two agent 88 minimates thus far. My wife and I have a joint account now, and unfortunately I need her blessing to buy another one. I did cook dinner for her last night, and will be taking her today to her favorite restaurant. So hopefully I will get the approval within the week for another custom. Not to sound like a horrible man, but I prefer to have the second custom NOT be of her, and I think she really doesn't care, she just cares about seeing me spend thousands on "plastic" as she says. (I also collect other figure lines with as a Completionist so I have to give her credit for her understanding and kind nature thus far!) Also she recently is scaring me saying she wants to collect Hot Toys now, but I think she is just trying to make a point at my expense.

I usually don't post my hauls but I just had to let the community know how amazing the S.H. Figurarts Dragon Ball Z Figures are. I grabbed a Piccolo, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Goku, and Goku SS3 the other day from a VERY reasonable priced site called ToyArena.com. These DBZ figures are not only loaded with Comic/TV Show accurate detail and accessories, but HOLY CRAP they are to scale! The Piccolo towers over the other figures and Gohan is obviously the shortest and smallest, and Vegeta is super stocky and shorter than Goku by an inch! Can't wait for the Cell figure in November! The other thing I am blown away with is the articulation... tons of it, to mimic all your favorite poses!!!

As it stands, there'll need to be another 80k in funding anyway for the first one to pan out, so you may as well throw the cash in anyways... Good point! Good point??? And this mentality is why America and Europe is drowning in consumer debt. If Digger hits the goal, you will be charged and you will need to PAY for it. Yes you might be able to float on the credit for a month, but then the finance fees hit. Only buy what you know you can afford to pay for. I'm sure Digger does not need B.S. investors or pledges, he needs real funding by people willing and able to pay their pledge. Here's another good point, you can also get a new 0% interest for 1 year credit card to make these purchases. I mean, Digger still have a long way to go in 17 days <- THAT IS SARCASM for Lord's Sake!!!

Trying to convince her that it would be romantic to have one of each of us... for like a wedding memory thing. One thing she is not liking is 2 HighAssRoller mates one for me to play with and one sealed...

I'm not saying that people NEED to buy the item or that we should be upset that no actual money was spent. But a Contest would be a great way for Digger to spread the word and help out a lucky board member. An auction on this thread could not only hit those two items but also raise potentially hundreds of dollars for Digger. When you are trying to get investments and visibility at the $1.00 level on Kick Starter, I think an auction to raise money is very intuitive and logical and could assist with speed "fund raising". I know I can point to multiple posts and threads that show the community is very active/supportive of contests and very appreciative to the "free prizes" that are won. But at least I know where H-Junk stands on the subject!

Do I speak for the community that we would prefer contests or a sale for these Golden rares, versus a "who is awake to PM me first" approach? Digger is most generous, but perhaps we leverage a competition on the board... could you imagine the response for a "Gold Spiderman Contest"???? Or can you imagine the feedback on an onsite auction in the Flea Market Thread to help the 88 project?

My issue is that the Agent 88 high value prizes don't appeal much to me flying out to california and all that show biz stuff is just not where I am at this stage in my life. I am more interested in custom mates of my own design and there are only 2 custom mates left. So the max I can put in is maybe another $2000.00 under 2 bogus email accounts but pay for it and ship the same as the other 3 orders. But again that's 5 orders under 5 different email addresses going to just my home address. God damn that site makes buying a really weird process. The sad truth is... I love minimates and only willing to invest in that. And that's not meant as an insult to DIGGER or his artwork. If maybe Digger could entertain some real custom mates (I would sell a majority only to this site), I'd be willing to drop 5,000.00+. Like a limited release of my Colonel Tail Slap character. But otherwise...

Okay I had to get my wife to log in as a new account to buy a second one. I usually keep 1 opened and 1 sealed of everything, and was gonna be a good samaritan and get BHM one, but damn it, I think I need to call my mother to get a third! Sorry BHM, I tried, but I just moved to the south and don't know too many folks here. Yeah, you can't seem to add more than 1 item per email address/registered account. I was able to log in with 3 different email accounts to get a total of: two agent 88 minimates one custom 1:1 Custom Mate. I do not have any more email addresses to use so I guess my donation stops at about 1,100.00, wish I could just add more items to an existing account. DIG- Let me know if this is user error, cause I will donate more or if you have another Gold Vorin you want to SELL.

Nessex, I believe Digger stated Gold Vorin and Agent 88 cannot mix due to licensing issues. But I agree that picture really confuses me cause that is clearly a gold vorin in the picture! We need Digger clarity again, lol In other news, anyone else have issues buying more than 1 agent 88? It would only allow me to buy 1. Also anyone else in this community put in the $1100 for the custom single minimate figure?

Dang Digger, r u sure you don't want to just sell your Gold Vorin? I am thinking you'd make a quick $100.00 for your project and if you are going at $18.00 increments, $100.00 is a good jump!

Man, I'd like to read the back story for how mates were first made by Digger and his evolution before selling off the company. Digger, you can tell you are an artist inside and out, keep up the good work and I am sure if you made your exclusive available for direct sale they would indeed sell quickly. I'd be more worried about all the Senior board members being able to buy one as 88 left to sell seems like a small number. But $18.00 I think is reasonable for the 88 minimate, but where exactly can we order these in a few days? Can we buy more than one?

I would totally recommend you not post collection pics. It would present you as someone who doesn't need a gold Vorin and you wouldn't get any votes. I would recommend you just post some pics of some mates on a toilet or something creative like that that the normal collector could relate to or something. Of course, I say this in all honesty and am not being deceptive to try to better my chances of winning. I would never stoop to that level. Never. Crap that was the fear... my wife is already having a Sh*t Storm anyways seeing me unload my boxes of mates in the living room. As she has a "rule" that my collectables can only be in 2 rooms of the house. (Every young collector will know what I am talking about... if they marry and love a woman.... who has no interest or respect for toys) I will still take a picture of my collection, (Too late to go back now, and I have found if she is already pissed I might as well finish and get her full rage out of her and make it worth my while. Awww BHM, That warms me heart and make me want to blurt out like Sally Field at the Oscars. I started posting on the OLD MMV site when I was 18, so yeah, 10 years of life (Marriage, Home, Work) has matured me quite a bit. I'll be working on a collection pic for the 10 year contest... really more as a testament to what 10 years of trying to be a completiionist for every line of minimate can create. Unfortunately I have alot of items still back in Chicago, but about 95% of my collection is in my new home. I love my minimates and my collection and hope the community appreciates me sharing and maybe gives me some votes to get one of those Gold Vorins. Just trying to figure out how to get everything in one picture! Have some on shelves, some in individual bags, some in plastic totes, and some in cardboard boxes. I might just take it all down and lay it out flat in the living room and take one picture standing from a chair. I have an opened set for every boxed MIB set too, so I think I might have to decide on just loose or boxed rather than trying to take a pic with 2 of everything.
