Hey guys, Some friends and myself have put together a toy website where we do reviews and talk about toy related subjects. Hey guys, I don't remember seeing anyone talk about this. For any of you who are as desperate as I am to buy something new for your DC mates. A while ago they put out a Starro Heroclix figure. Even though it doesn't move, it's perfect scale for minimates to battle with. Sorry for the blurry pics, my camera sucks.

I didn't think I would see Spirit minimates considering DC owns the character and they didn't even want to continue their DC mates. I'm guessing DC Direct must not have the license to the toys then, which is also strange. Oh well, I'll be getting them since he is a sort-of DC character, but like a lot of other people in this thread, I'd rather have him in blue.

Ralph and sue came back already....kinda - you would have to read the last couple of issues of the new outsiders series Also Ralph's body was almost regenerated at the end of the last black adam mini damn, i missed those. So are they back or still ghost detectives? This thread is totally about minimates. It's about all the minimates we aren't going to get...

Hi Nestle, In an interview a while back Dan Didio said that Ralph was actually dead and he and Sue were together and happy as ghosts, solving mysteries I guess. That's not saying they won't bring him or sue back at some point, but for now he is actually dead. I agree with you, whole Jason Todd thing is screwed though. They could have done something cool with him, but instead they ruined what little character he had. What really is annoying is instead of wasting Connor Hawkes character also, they could have made Jason the new body for Ras Al Ghoul. Not only would Batman be pissed, he would also have to live with the fact that he failed Jason every time he fought Ras. But instead they give us the crappy anti-anti-hero Jason and a brainless comatose Connor.

agreed, characters like Ambush Bug and Ma Hunkel are what make the line unique and not just another DCD Superman/Batman lovefest. The only other "toyline" out there with the variety of minimates is heroclix, which don't move and can have some pretty bad sculpts sometimes. I'll take minimates any day.

I'm also interested in the Harry Mudd thing, especially since Playmates had made a figure for him in their line. I assumed he was covered under the general license. Are there any other characters you can't do from the Star Trek universe besides the new movie? Would it be a possibility in the future to get shuttlecrafts or bridge playsets?

I think the MSRP is something to consider though. If your comic shop is selling them to you for $9.99 then you are getting ripped off. My shop sells them for $8.00, and they are still making a profit. Which means that DCD could still raise the cost that the comic shops pay by at least a dollar before having to mark up the MSRP. And if your comic shop feels the need to make a 40-50% mark up then you should either talk with them about it or buy them somewhere else if possible.

I love Aztek too. I'm also a big fan of Zauriel. Those would be two awesome mates. As for the line itself, I think it's doing pretty good. The only thing that I wonder about is how stores like Hastings and Sam Goody will carry the Marvel and BSG mates and DC Direct products but not DCD mates.

Damn, he does have eye holes. Way back in the early 90's when I used to read JLA and sometimes Flash he had the white. I always liked that look because it helped distinguish him from Barry. oh well, comics accuracy is a good thing, so I can't argue.

This wasn't my favorite wave ever, but it's still great to get all these characters. The only problem I had was with the Flash. It should have been Barry. Not because I love Barry, or because we already have Wally from C3. It's mostly because in this wave we got a silver age Batman, we've already gotten a silver age Hal Jordan, Barry would have made a nice addition. Especially since the Grodd he comes with is the silver age look. I also had a problem with Wally's face. It looks too old to me, not young enough to be Wally at least. And the mask is wrong, which is what annoys me the most. The eyes on the mask are supposed to be white, like Batman, not holes like Barry's. Oh well...

1. Would you guys consider doing a line of mates from the movie The Warriors? 2. Would it be possible to see more aliens (Romulans, Andorians) and non-crew (Harry Mudd and Trelain) in the Star Trek line? 3. Are you going to mix the Next Generation and DS9 with Voyager and Enterprise so that the less popular shows will also get made?

The Haunted Tank and Creature Commandos would be great, but you can't forget the other brave minimate men and women who helped win our freedom from minimate Hitler. The Losers (including a Pooch) Mademoiselle Marie GI Robot and you sure as hell can't win minimate WW2 without... The Unknown Soldier
