  1. I guess Spidey also ingested Giant Man's growth serum. Shame on you Spidey. But seriously, he looks gorgeous. Wish I had the funds to purchase a piece of history.
  2. Seems to me I'm gonna have to get these two and also track down some of the Back To Future minimates sets. Cool future soldier and nice stealth pilot.
  3. Realistic looking Thor characters in minimate form? I don't know if I would buy them, but I wouldn't mind seeing them.
  4. I gotta admit, ever since I saw those newish episodes of the Fantastic Four, from 2006, I've been wanting a Paste Pot Pete. Admittedly I wouldn't be so happy to get a redo of the Fantastic Four, I think we have plenty of other choices for minimates, but I do think the only way we would get more villains from their rouges gallery is by having them redone.
  5. Interesting new wave. Klaw better come with his weapon or some funky energy attachment because if not, he's gonna be a pretty bland minimate. Cool though. And a little off topic, but I haven't even seen the Secret Wars box set at my Toys R Us let alone X-Factor Angel and Warpath. Wonder how hard these are gonna be to get?
  6. Commenting on what Turtle said about the minimates and that blurry line they seem to be at, I too think that the drones pretty much broke the line. The Cylons on BSG, too me, were at the pinnacle of minimate design, in regards to robotic minimate thingies. My absolute favorite from the Iron Man movie line is the Iron Monger. I remember when I first got it, I thought to myself, "WOW, this is awesome." but it still felt like a minimate to me, even though it was very detailed compared to other minimates. Yet, it still felt minimate like. we are already past the 30 mark on series and we are getting variations of detail design on the minimates. From the overly complex to the simple yet tasteful. Point in fact is the Swordsman and Yellow Jacket. Not overly complex and yet they still drive home the point that they are minimate representations of who they are trying to portray. you win some and you lose some. I'm just glad that this line has survived as long as it has. I think that there is a middle ground that can be struck at where it wont be so detailed, IM2 drone, or so crappy as the originals were, Composite Spiderman/ Peter Parker or Ultimate Jean Grey.
  7. Armored Core customs maybe? Cool mechs, and i love the battle damaged armor. I'll buy them.
  8. I like that Hammer drone. looks interesting for a repaint. That War Machine does look like it could pass for the modern comic version. I had doubts about getting this set, but I think I might crack and buy the whole thing. And to answer the question, If the Mk 3.5 is the one shown at the forefront of the pics for IM 2 minimates set then there is a difference between the MK 3 suit and the 3.5 from the chest armor, helmet, to the paint details of the 3.5 armor. The only thing i see as being the same except for slight paint differences are the gauntlets.
  9. So, to clarify this, what exactly is wrong with this wave? I pre orderd mine form bigbadtoystore, so should I expect something wrong?
  10. An interesting new direction they are taking with Iron Man. The only thing i wonder is, why doesn't he have bifurcated feet?!?! I loved that about the Extremis armor. It was the proverbial icing on the cake for me.
  11. Hmmm. I could totally see that. That would be a great cliffhanger. But I'm still a little iffy about the alien power rings. Something just doesn't jive. Oh and about the bionics on the Mandarin, I looked at the comic and they were his forearms that Stark actually manufactures because his rings were put inside his back in his spine i think.
  12. With that in mind. The Mandarin would have to be somewhat less powerful than his comic book self. I read one of the last comics he came out in, when he tried to spread Extremis to the whole world and Tony had a ring on his ankle that did not allow him to use his powers. He put a beat down on Iron Man with his bare hands! It was one of the best "human" against Iron Man fights ever. I wonder if that would translate well on the movie screen?
  13. For that price, they better be hard core. Those Hammer drones look cool though. I am very curious to see what will come in that set.
  14. I personally don't think that we need a larger hulk in order to get a Hulkbuster armor. They should just make it. I do wonder though, how could they make the Mandarin? His powers are all based on his rings and somewhat mystical. How are they gonna pull that off in the movie? I know that the whole concept of Tony's armor is out there, but it is still plausible to an extent. How would one explain mystical rings and what not. Wouldnt it be a little too far fetched even for a comic book movie? Comments?
  15. My guess would be the "Titanium Men" being battle damaged and so on and so forth. That's the only thing that makes sense. I don't think there are any other "Army builders" in the Iron Man universe.
  16. Hopefully, but where is the minimates version of this wonderful armor?
  17. Well that sucks, I thought he did a pretty good job as Banner. Aw well. Eric Bana did a pretty good job too in the first Hulk film.
  18. What happened with Edward Norton? Been trying to look for that press release, don't know what good it would do though since its in Chinese. Though oddly enough the names were in English.
  19. I was always partial to the first Iron Man that was released. It's classic. But then again, I'm partial to Iron Man minimates all together. I wasn't put off by the Extremis armor. I thought it was just about right. The real question is, when will they make a Hulk Buster and Thor Buster armor? Oh, and did anyone catch the mention of Iron Man's Ant Man buster armor back in the WW Hulk comic series? Wonder how that would look?
  20. Well, i don't know if this applies to the movie or not, but I know that the Hot Toys company, from Hong Kong, released a press release and is making 1/6th scale figures for the Iron Man II movie. They mentioned that they were making Bruce Banner, Nick Fury, Iron Man MK 4,5,6 and War Machine. Any thoughts?
  21. Work your way back from the current one until you cant find them anymore. That's my advice.
  22. Was the Hostile Takeover box set really that bad, I got two of them myself. Although i sold one of them. I thought they were a pretty cool set especially with that terrorist guy they threw in, although i would have to say that having the set as an AFX exclusive, which was expensive, was weird. Not the best but also not the worst. IMHO.
  23. So far, not too many battle damaged versions of Iron Man have been made, have there? The only one I can remember is the aforementioned Hostile Takeover. But no others come to mind.
  24. 20 more, that's what I was thinking. Also plenty of Iron Man villain armors are still out there not made yet, the Beetle anyone. Watched the new trailer on marvel.com. Does this mean he goes back to the arms business? why else have dancers like that with "arc reactors" on their chests? Awesome how heavy duty the War Machine armor looks like. I cant wait for the 1/6th scale figures that Hot Toys is coming out with as well as the minimates. Yay.
  25. Mine is just collecting dust. I got plenty of spare bat cave parts back in the day wen they were on clearance. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna build a hall of armor for Iron Man, but i just cant get around to building it.
