I just picked up a Lori and Morgan from my closest TRU, I'm guessing I'll never see Shane or Glenn in the wild.

A couple of sites have the pre-order date up for December of this year, which seems better than next summer.....although that means 2011 might be the end of the GB minis .

I just picked up the sets at TRU. This particular TRU is notorious for mis-pricing things/putting stuff in the wrong place. The Cap minimates were shelf labeled as Marvel Movie MiniMates - $3.49. Needless to say, I got them for that price! I haven't purchased any Marvel miniMates in forever (at least for myself instead of custom fodder)....so many cool parts to these guys.

So I thought I'd post some pics of this here, since it's acceptable to use the Stay Puft bank in the world of minis; Infestation Stay Puft! And yeah, he's still a bank.

The Boogeyman is insanely awesome! It looks like he has backwards jointed legs, so I'm guessing that his giant head/coattails will act as a balancing weight?

Copy-pasta from Ghostbusters wiki: Blacky is a ghost of a thief that got cursed by an Egyptian artifact, the Treasure of King Tod. The Detective Philip Spade even as a ghost is still trying to solve the case. The Ghostbusters end up working with Spade to get Blacky. Contents 40 years ago, in about the mid-1940's, Blacky was regarded as the best thief by Spade. Blacky was unafraid of the alleged curse attributed to King Tod's treasure and stole it from the Manhattan Museum of Natural History one night. After concealing it underground in the sewers, Blacky was killed and transmogrified by the curse into a giant monster in the motif of ancient Egypt. He was now anchored to the treasure for eternity as its guardian. In the mid-1980's, on a Saturday, Blacky appeared again due to what he perceived as a territorial invasion by construction workers up above. The Ghostbusters were unable to capture Blacky and were separated by animated construction vehicles. Despite several clues left by an invisible Spade, the Ghostbusters decided to go underground without confirmation of the entity's identity. Spade appeared to them and volunteered to go with them. While he distracted Blacky, the Ghostbusters drove the cursed treasure back to the museum. They discovered Tod's exhibit archived down in the basement. Without warning, Peter lifted the treasure himself and returned it to Tod's sarcophagus. Blacky was reverted back to his normal form, now a Class 4 ghost. He thanked Spade for saving him. Together, they peacefully dispersed. In his Transmogrified form, Blacky has shown the power to animate two vehicles by shooting beams from his fingertips. As soon as he leaves the immediate vicinity, the possession expires. The beams can also be destructive in direct combat. AWESOME! And I agree with Cowblaster, Egon's wand is differen (you can clearly see a rounder brown shape around the end, similar to the cartoon tips). I love these. AWESOME! Yeah, it's gotta be Blackie. Unless they are doing comic RGB miniMates, then maybe it could be the Nameless One. Although, Blackie is the preferred hope of myself.

A semi-expected reuse, the blue T-Dog was seen in the episode 'Egon's Ghost' and Yay! BoogyMan!!!!!!!!!!!! And the opening of "Slimer! And the Real Ghostbusters. (As was the Boogeyman) Thanks, I really am interested in seeing how's made as well. I think they did a great job with the Theater Ghost, and, well, everything else, so I'm sure the Boogeyman will be no exception. Also, in the category of Ghostbusters customs I've made that companies could easily do themselves; Yeah, the heads could be more accurate, but that really the only major retooling/new sculpting Mattel would need. It's amazing how much they don't seem to want stuff to succeed. I do not like those RGB dolls, but I'll buy them anyway, so I guess Mattel doesn't really care what I have to say. And, I am super-hyped for these RGB miniMates. I can't wait until we start seeing pics of these guys. I hope the packaging is dark purple like the Kenner line was. To add to the list of hopefuls, they could retool a Terror Dog to make Drool. Ghash/Mr. Ugly would also be a good choice. And I would kind of like Troll Leader. And Barrow Wights. Or Chtulhu! I hope Office Janine comes with a chair/desk, or at least an alarm bell. Blue Slimer could be a possible repaint for the expected multitude of Slimers. And to add to the list of possible GB variants, they could have a set where they are covered in chemical ectoplasm with body parts from the episode "Doctor, Doctor". They could come with Prof. X's wheelchairs. And does anyone know if the license is just based on the cartoon series, or is there any chance we could see some characters from the NOW! comics? Because if so, there's a nice chunk of visually interesting villains there as well.
