  1. Clayface! you Live in San Diego ( or as near as damn it!!) I tihnk asking others to pick stuff up for you is probably pushing your luck! T. Yeah, but attending SDCC costs money, so doesn't it make sense to have people who would be there anyone pick it up instead of paying to get in for one toy?
  2. I think for the most part newer is just better. here's a list of my "definitive versions". Spider-Man: The heroes box-set one. I think the colors on it just make it really POP as the best. the original's suit being cast in the colors really bugs me. Captain America: Invaders. while I don't own it, it's hard to deny that it looks the best, especially with the full chain mail. Dr. Doom: The new is SOOOOOOOOO much better. I HATE the old one. HATE. Ghost Rider: While I think the newer one is better, I think the Champions look FAR better than either of the ones we have. Green Goblin: New, period. Hulk: Defenders for sure. The newest one looks like total crap, sorry DST. Iron Man: There are honestly too many, I think it's a matter of preference. I think the newest or the modular looks the best. Magneto: The new. Again with the GG and Doc. Doom, I don't like the old ones. Venom: I think Powerhouse looks best. Wolverine: After seeing it in pics, the new ones looks absolutely STUNNING. I am happy to say I am EXCITED that they are making a new Wolverine, as this looks to be the absolute definitive Wolverine by a mile.
  3. I'm a bit shocked that so many people seem to think $500 is too high. I mean, it's HIGH, thats for sure, but there are plenty of rare and expensive collectibles out there. Gold Spidey is a hell of a lot more than a run of the mill minimate. I think $500 for something that's known to be so extrordinarily rare and limited isn't too crazy. Heck, anyone who knows JLU knows the Hal Jordan figure went for a couple thousand, didn't it? That all said, I wouldn't part with it for less than $500, period. I know you'll find someone willing to pay that much.
  4. Let's list my artists... Arctic Monkeys Billy Talent Bowling For Soup Bright Eyes Every Time I Die Fall Out Boy Franz Ferdinand The Fratellis Green Day Interpol Kanye West The Killers Marilyn Manson The Matches Mayday Parade Mindless Self Indulgence Muse My Chemical Romance Panic at the Disco Phantom Planet the pillows Queen Say Anything Scars On Broadway Serj Tankian The Strokes System of a Down Taking Back Sunday That's about right...
  5. I'm going to hit the unpopular train here and say I really kinda like those. They look pretty cool. A little ridiculous in the whole groin thing, but besides that I think they make for some cool looking toys. NOT $20, but if they're $10 that might be a little more palletable.
  6. Is that different than the original release in some way? I actually have a mostly complete (I think) figure of him (that IS TM2 Dinobot, right?) lying around my house.
  7. Am I the only one who thinks Slipknot and ICP are on two entirely different levels? Anyway. give me some Queen minimates. I'd buy 50 Freddies.
  8. Just as a bit of "insider" info, I work at K-Mart, and the box with these guys in it says to not put it out until March 1st, so that may be a good time to start looking if you haven't seen them yet.
  9. Tim Roth? You mean like the one we got with the Hulk Movie?
  10. Am I the only one who likes the look of SCUD? I mean, he'll never actually come out, but if he did he looks pretty cool, IMO.
  11. I hate the out of scaleness. That's the seller on minimates for me. no sclae and I don't care. Now, an IN SCALE LOTR? That'd be AWESOME.
  12. That was what I was (badly) trying to suggest. TBT! already said that according to his super cool insider info Wave 27 (the old 26) and 28 will be shown in ToyFare sometime soon.
  13. Don, as I said before I already bought something but thatnks for the reply, and he does look really cool. I thought about it. Seriously, thanks for the help though.
  14. I got those two and the BM pack the other day, but these guys have been a bitch to find in general. I'm gonna have to order all the ones I've missed.
  15. Heh, thanks for the replies guys, but I already bought Plo Koon. Thanks though!
  16. I've got Blurr and seen him a couple times, but I didn't know Safeguard was out! Dammit!
  17. Just to wrap things up, I got Plo Koon today. He's pretty darn great. I do wish his hood had wire though... He looks like a klan member with it up.
  18. No, I'm not seeing one either...
  19. Count me in, NorthRaider! Can you buy it anywhere yet? Cause I will, I'm a merchandise whore.
  20. The only one I see is $100. What does the exclusive come with, another light saber? He came with the double-bladed lightsaber gauntlet that Plo Koon had in concept art.
  21. Thanks for the auction link. That'll help a lot. You didn't happen to come by the exclusive version, did you?
  22. So, my LCS has Sideshow's 1/6 scale Plo Koon for $75. I REALLY want to buy him, but I'm not sure if I want to pay that much. Can anyone with experience with the body he uses or the toy itself give me any advice or pros/cons? Also, if anyone would be willing to part with one for less (I know he originally retailed at around $55-$60) then let me know. Thanks! EDIT: I'm repurposing this thread. I want to buy a really nice toy. Something that's expensive and standout, while still being affordable. I'm thinking in the range of $50-$100. I want something that's fairly big in size. and will get a nice response from people who see it. I've considered Sideshow's Plo Koon, the Cloverfield toy, Sideshow's Obi Wan in Clone Armor, and some others. Any advice?
  23. I recently got Powerglide, Onslaught, Silverstreak, Galvatron, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Animated Ultra Magnus, Blurr and Swindle. They're all great. Out of Cheetor, Cyclonus, and Hound, who would you guys recommend?
