  1. No, I mean, I liked the new Elektra as well, just... IDK. I'm not sure how much room it could've taken up in the box set, but some alt. parts for a more neutral mask and sash would have been welcome if you just wanna pose her normally.
  2. Ah, damn. MB. I didn't know there were two different designs. Still, I think I'd rather see a new Brood-infected character and not just a copypasta of Wolverine. That way, armybuilding can be a thing for the Brood.
  3. On God. IK the Heroes to the Rescue Spider-Man is considered peak Spider-Man (I can agree that it is a peak Spider-Man in its own right)... I'm still more biased towards the Wave 24 Spider-Man being the greatest comic book Spider-Man Minimate ever released. Vibrant red, dark blue, and some of the best printing I've ever seen on a Spider-Man. But, that's a conversation for a different thread. The Wave 86 Green Goblin, despite some gripes with it, looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it. (Still waiting on my coveted Thunderbolts and Marvel Knights Goblins in the meantime XD)
  4. A Brood-infected Wolverine already exists. We don't need another one. There any other characters from the Brood Saga who got infected?
  5. On God. While the pre-posed design elements irk me to a degree (Elektra Daredevil all over again where it can only be posed in a certain way), it looks fantastic overall. And the new glider? Fucking BEAUTIFUL. Same with the tentacles on Carolyn Trainer. Those are just god-tier. I hope to see these new parts reused more for future Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus Minimates because they look nothing short of astounding to me.
  6. Now I can actually see some merit behind 85 and 86 being back-to-back Spider-Man releases on account of the similar aesthetics for the classic Spider-Man design and the fact that we're getting Scarlet Spider and Reilly Spider-Man one after the other. I gotta hand it to you guys, this is pretty fucking cool. Hats off. Will be P.O.ing as soon as it goes live.
  7. HOLY SHIT DIAMOND SELECT, YOU BRILLIANT, CRAZY-ASS SONS OF BITCHES YOU HAVE ANSWERED MY PRAYERS A NEW GREEN GOBLIN HALLELUJAH
  8. The Bring on the Bad Guys! and Wave 41 Green Goblins are, IMO, sufficient enough as just classic Goblins. The former if you want detail, the latter if you want the glider and alt. Norman Osborn head. I want a design we haven't seen before. Again, if marketability is the issue, a Thunderbolts Green Goblin is the perfect answer. https://www.chasingamazingblog.com/wp-content/uploads/image28.jpg It's just a moderately-updated look to the classic design. Throw in a glider and an alt. Norman head and boom. Instant lure for young and experienced collectors alike.
  9. Nah, it's fine. I'm just the odd autistic dude who can't understand humor sometimes.
  10. Oh boy, a first-appearance Thanos would be MAD interesting to get. (If you get the joke, congratulations. Here's your no-prize. XD)
  11. This is my prediction, too. Man, a Ben Reilly Spider-Man after, like, 20 years since the original one would go HARD.
  12. Oh, God, not a Battle-Damaged Spider-Man. That's giving me MAD Friends and Foes box set flashbacks 💀 Honestly, the goal is to not only get a new Electro, but just get new looks for most of the classic villains that don't rely on the animated stuff to do so. I cannot BEGIN to describe to you how EXHAUSTED I am in seeing the classic Green Goblin design in the comic book releases and ONLY that version. A Marvel Knights or Thunderbolts Goblin, IMO, would go HARD. Hell, I'd take a Final Chapter-styled Green Goblin if it meant we had just a BRIEF break from the classic design.
  13. Definitely a fair point. Releasing a set including Spider-Man and Sinister Six members without it being the whole team probably does benefit from the fact that we still have those fairly-new releases of Kraven and Vulture from a couple years ago that are still relatively cheap. On the point of it being a deluxe set, tho... maybe make it a Comic-Con exclusive box set? IDK. It's just an idea. I feel that it might create more of a lure for collectors if it were an exclusive, and one of figures that everybody actually wants. But then again, I don't work in the toy industry, so I could be wrong on that. Like I said; it just feels like a wasted opportunity with the format since it rules out the possibility of us getting a lot of teams instantly without having to buy two-packs individually. Just have all the members right up front. That's the main reason I got the Fantastic Four box set, was so I didn't have to buy separate two-packs just to complete my set of the team like I had to do with the TRU wave 8 Fantastic Four. I get that marketing has to be taken into account, but yeah. That's just my two-cents on it. I understand that the appeal of an instant fight between hero and villain will always be a primary lure for any Minimates set, tho.
  14. I completely understand that, but then it really wouldn't be possible at all to get a proper Sinister Six box set. A Sinister Syndicate set, sure. That's doable. But unless Diamond would be willing to bump up the count from 5 to 7 to accommodate Spider-Man, why even bother? It really does blow how our options are much more limited now.
  15. I'm sorry, but HARD disagree. ESPECIALLY given how many Spider-Man Minimates we've gotten as of late. I imagine most people who collect Minimates have at least ONE figure of the classic Spider-Man suit. Unless we're talking an Ultimate Six box set, I actually think a regular Sinister Six box set would BENEFIT from a lack of Spider-Man. Just have it be the villains. The novelty of it being an instant collection of some of Spidey's most notable enemies ALONE, I guarantee, would be an AUTOMATIC lure for people.
  16. Was referring to the former in specific, yeah. But the latter gives me a degree of hope on future releases. I've loved X-Men '97 so far. And the Minimates look great from the promo art we got back in 2020. It's a real shame, tho. I work at Walgreens. I would have LOVED to have gotten more figures from there. Sadly, God constantly points and laughs at me with contempt and spite. 😭
  17. Nah. If we're talking teams only, I'd rather it just be the heroes. I agree we need a new classic Electro, tho. The original one is still a beautiful figure, IMO, but as I said above about Torment Spider-Man; you have a better chance of finding a solid gold brick on the goddamn Moon than you do getting that figure for a reasonable price nowadays. So fucking bogus we're only getting 5 figures a set from now on. At least throw us a bone with a Sinister Six box set or something.
  18. Gonna take a stab in the dark and assume the Walgreens 'Mates are permanently dead in the water?
  19. While I can agree that the Astonishing suit hasn't been done the best justice in the world of Minimates as of yet... do we REALLY need yet ANOTHER Wolverine clogging up a potential new character slot? Like I said; battle-damaged civilian Matt Murdock wouldn't be the MOST visually dynamic figure in the world... but it would at least be unique. IDK. This is one of the drawbacks of permanently retiring the Waves of two-packs in favor of box sets. You have to be MUCH more conservative picking and choosing who gets released and who doesn't in a given series. If the Waves were still going about as before, we could have a whole-ass New Avengers one and have an army builder packaged with Wolverine and battle-damaged Matt Murdock as the chase figure or something.
  20. Holy shit, if you're right, I might actually cry tears of joy. Literally would be a Yellow Daredevil situation. Nearly 20 years after the original are we FINALLY getting an update. If they make it look consistent with Sonic Attack Spider-Man, that'd make it even better, IMO.
  21. Thank God. I have numerous Peter Parker Spidey Minimates (Wave 24 Spidey, Armory Spidey, etc.), and just pre-ordered the Spider-Verse box set off Luke's after hemming and hawing on it for months. I can cool the jets with Pete for a minute. XD Despite that, I appreciate you advocating on behalf of a new McFarlane Spidey. That genuinely means much to me. If not that, then I would KILL for a John Romita, Jr. Spider-Man. I LOVE that man's rendition of the character.
  22. Ah, shit. Yeah, you're right. I forgot about that one. XD Then... maybe a battle-damaged Matt Murdock? Based on how he looked during the first half of the Breakout! story in New Avengers #1-3. Prolly wouldn't be an exciting look, but my only other idea for the fifth slot is a new Astonishing X-Men Wolverine. But nobody really wants another Wolverine in the endless sea that exists for him in this line as it is.
  23. In that case, I would have it include; - Iron Man Model 25 - 2000s Luke Cage (we haven't gotten that look since the original Luke Cage from 2006) - Ronin - A new Sentry (we haven't gotten one since 2009) - A brand new classic Spider-Woman (last one was the 2006 variant of the original one we got in 2005). Cap, Spidey, and Wolverine can be substituted with any number of their previously-released comic book variations (I'd say for Logan specifically, it'd have to be the MvC3 one) for a full display of the original New Avengers.
  24. For the love of God, if we're getting two Spider-Man sets back-to-back (on the assumption 86 is gonna include another Peter Parker), can we at LEAST get an updated Todd McFarlane Spider-Man? Don't get me wrong, I think the original McFarlane Spider-Man from 2007 does hold up, but it's expensive and hard to come by in this day and age. I think a new McFarlane Spidey (hell, a new Ditko Spidey as well since we haven't had one since 2008) would nicely compliment the Sonic Attack Spider-Man from Wave 76, which was very clearly a Bagley Spider-Man. Much as I love Peter Parker as my favorite fictional character of all time, I must say that the sheer amount of variations we've gotten of him as of late are wearing me out. I think getting newer/updated 'Mates based on specific artstyles would be an excellent way of counterbalancing that. You still get to pump out variations of the same character while still holding customer interest. Sonic Attack Spider-Man is a PRIME example of that, from what I understand.
