I am not completely immune to buying stuff that other people might consider 'shite' so please don't take offence when I say (politely & reservedly) that I am not fond of Funko Pops . I realise that many many other folks must like them their longevity & range of licenses is incredible .
I have been tempted on a couple of 'themes' notably the X-Files ( I was an almost complete 'completist' on that merchandise) & I've recently been tempted on their Dalek items . I also nearly fell for the Royal Family Funkos but I am still totally disgusted that their heads are not removable .
Anyway the title of this thread is 'Galactus' so forgive me if I move on from Funkos & onto a compatible Galactus for Minimates .Folklore made the The Max Minimate version of Galactus 'iconic' ,as an owner I can only add that it is only iconic if left in its polystyrene packaging..........once removed it will break . Fantastic Four #234 famously portrays Galactus falling .......he gets up 'intact' ...........your Minimate Max will definitely not be so lucky . Before typing this I checked out 'Galactus Minimate Max' on US ebay ....I see 2, one is $300 with is packaged & unopened whilst the other is loose.....& broken https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Fantastic-Four-Minimates-Lot-Galactus-Max-Silver-Surfer/153663866615?hash=item23c71486f7:g:sv0AAOSwk~VdkNJ9. I was not staggered in my findings
Anyway ...after years of procrastination I recently bought myself an immaculate Marvel Legends BAF from UK ebay .
Was I pleased ? I'll just say this ......when I place this Galactus alongside any group of Minimates I smile
He's not cheap($120 ish) & you have to be a bit discerning when you buy him 'cause the nature of a BAF is that the 'bits' might originally have come from all over the place & the paint may be scratched etc. ........not a big issue but one to be aware of.
buttheadsmate's 'Heads up' tip #123 : Never buy a seemingly easy-to-complete, incomplete BAF Galactus because IMHO completing him will cost you more than an arm & a leg....... even second-hand
tip # 124 : Always buy a 'reasonably priced' Marvel Legends Galactus BAF RIGHT Leg when you see one on ebay .
tip # 125: Beware of
The Marvel Universe 3 and 3/4 line has an even BIGGER Galactus... (that's it on the left with pitiful little ML on the right)
There was also a darker colour scheme variant for miserable people who think Galactus is too colourful

Any green female faces that match the green from the Brotherhood Quicksilver?
That Quicksilver's arms and legs are PERFECT for those wanting a FF She-Hulk (the two She-Hulk heads don't match).

This seems like 3 pages of hoping for something that's probably not going to happen.

I never found any, and right around the time he was supposed to come out, I'd given up on trying to do that scale, so I kept a few & sold the remainder of what I'd gotten by then. And now I hear people lament that too many teams were left unfinished, so I'm fine with ML & MM only (we get unfinished teams, but not to the extent of MU apparently).
And while I have 11 green shirt Jamie 'Mates, I wouldn't have gotten as many ML had they gone that route. But since they went 90's, I went a little crazy.
I had 5 MU Madroxes - loved them. They went for a design that worked both for classic and 90s X-Factor.

Genis Marvel.
Yes yes please yes. He recently got a Marvel Legends figure so even though the character has been utterly buried by Marvel, him getting a Minimate isn't wholy out of question at least.
In fact, most the guys you listed recently got Marvel Legends figures...
We definitely need a comic-based Cosmic wave - I am flabbergasted we have never had a comic-based Star-Lord - but sadly I can see us just getting the current versions of the movie characters which themselves are uninspired riffs on their movie versions which we've already got figures for.
Maybe something like the upcoming X-Factor wave where we have a modern Guardian with an old Guardian - like Star-Lord and Major Victory or Drax and Yondu or Mantis and Starhawk, etc.
-
I've always hoped on an Operation: Zero Tolerance wave (which would just be an excuse to fill in some 90s gaps).
Nate Grey, Chamber, Husk, M, Marrow, Bastion/Prime Sentinel army builder...

Does anyone have a pic of Val Cooper in her X-Factor outfit? I'm remembering it as basically just being Polaris' but with Havok's rolled up sleeve arms. Am I remembering right?

Asking about the possibility of alt arms isn't complaining...
-
So... I'm guessing that's a no to the alt Madrox arms...

I'm going to be interested to see what Guido parts are in each 2 pack. I thought of something that would also be efficient on DST's part in buying multiple multiple men. If the archangel/multiple man pair is packed with Guido's arms then you'd have the opportunity to display a Jamie w/o a trench coat.
So, is it official, we're NOT getting alt arms for Madrox?
(also as someone pointed out, it wouldn't work as Guido has the wrong type of arms, big sleeves iirc, for jacketless Madrox)

What you talking about? They've made loads of Random before.
-
Doc Samson could also broadly fit the theme - what with their iconic issue with him...
-
No one mentioned Random yet?

This has been a very slow progress for me but finally I have a completed 90s Black Knight and Sersi!!
Black Knight is: Black Knight parts, Hobgoblin arms and legs, Cock-Buster cape and sword. (also got a Avengers bomber jacket on stand-by I can put him in, shown this one before, but I'm likely to just get another Black Knight and Hobgoblin to create a separate figure for that look).
Sersi is: the common recipe of animated Enchantress + black hair. In this case that's Olivia Munn from Predators hair and Lady Loki's head.
Definitely need to start finding alt heads to use for Black Knight though. I can't have him looking like he's in agony all the time.

Well, I liked Blizzard.

So I'm trying to kitbash this guy
And Wolverine Origins Deadpool Minimate seems perfect...
About 80% of that Minimate would work for a Mister X custom but its skin looks incredibly pale and I've been stung with skintones not matching before.
And, well, ideal choice for head would be Wesker (because I'd have tonnes of use for his body as well).
So, a) is it as pale as it looks, b) can anyone think of a corresponding pale head that would work or c) an alternate body choice which ideally is as convenient as that Deadpool having like the bulk of the parts needed (best I can find is Penance and I already have two of him, so having another character from the same team using the same chest block doesn't work).
-
I had like almost a complete collection of them and then they stopped having articulation and I focused more on Minimates.

We recently got an Iron man 2020 and in my case, I still see them floating around at pretty accessible costs. I would certainly love an Iron Man centered wave, but I doubt a 2020 variant will make another appearance considering how niche it is and the fact that they nailed it on the first try!
Personally I'd love to see a classic Iron Man villain paired with a different armor variation. Hydro-Suit Iron Man with a Stingray figure would be A1. Stealth Suit Iron Man with Ghost is also perfect. Updated Silver Centurion (let's face it, the original has not aged well) paired with a classic Iron Monger.
And the last one can be a re-do of modular armor packed with Grey Gargoyle.
BAF: Ultimo

But this Thor has a beard!
-
Chances are we'd just end up just getting a wave of mostly stuff we've got. Cap, Thor, Zemo, Absorbing Man... even Rambeau, Wasp, Hercules (at least those 3 could do with a new version). At most we'd get like a Tiger Shark and a Yellowjacket maybe.

It's too bad we only have one or two of those characters, I'd love to get more from Under Siege.
And most of them have Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe figures. ?

Nope! It's actually for Ultimate Hawkeye and an MCU Mysterio. But now I might need two of each piece. ?
Ult Hawkeye: MCU Batroc head will absolutely work perfectly for it with those Falcon goggles.

Oh, Rahne isn't using the old 90s Beast hair - awesome. Though I'm still not sure I like this one either.
