Ha! The one time I actually WANT a ton of variants from a line like this ... Yes, I want Caprica variants. I want flight suit variants. I want dress uniform variants. I want New Caprica variants. I need young hairified Tigh and mustachioed Adama. And then the CYLONS ... man.

I am so in love with MiniMates. The best part is that the format is the same, but there are all of these different licenses. Like Fujis said, there are so many different lines ... it may be time to give something up. What I am choosing to do is give up on some OTHER toy lines. With Transformers, I am only getting what I actually want. No more "gotta catch 'em all" there. The same goes for Marvel Legends ... and I'm not getting into anything new unless it really interests me. Right now, 'mates are my main interest. BSG = Dream come true. Marvel = the Standard. DC = HUGE potential and something that just needs to be done. Star Trek = a classic license that deserves to be 'mated. 24 = makes me happy on so many different levels. Speed Racer = a good fit. Probably doesn't need much more attention though. Street Fighter = They need to wake up and see that they should not give up, maybe adjust their thinking. LOTR = Will always be the "unrealized" line ... big missed opportunity here. Rocky = Interesting choice, has a place in the 'mates family but needs to be done conservatively. Cereal = Probably cooler than most people think. Gonna wait and see until I have them in my hands. All in all, I can't wait to see what else is going to be 'mated. I love you, MiniMates.

Wait ... the Cylon or the Cylon? (You're right. It did make my head hurt. But after re-reading your post a few times, I got it) I have the same box set but my 'mates are a few rooms away. I should really consider combining my Titaniums, DVD set and Minimates together ...

See Cyc! Have a little faith ... No way is this over. Maybe not the next wave, but sometime: we'll get Vision, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel and some other nice little goodies. Way to go DST!

If it makes you feel any better, I think She-Hulk is a very good candidate to be released soon. She has her own book, has been an Avenger AND part of the Fantastic Four, played a pretty big part in Avengers Disassembled and is a "Hulk". I'd put her on par (if not a bit more popular) with Spider-Woman. And you see how much attention SW has received lately. AND they made 2 different versions of her. She-Hulk has her classic Avengers look which would fit well with this wave or any subsequent waves. And then she is very easy to do a variant or con exclusive. Her FF costume is a great idea. And easy to do. Also, Ms. Marvel has a good chance. With her X-Men ties and her own book ... she's as classic as Shulkie or Wonderman. Chin up, Cyc!

Just a "stab" in the dark here, seeing how classic they're going: Hawkeye & Swordsman Antman & Wasp would be a good one too.

That Alan Scott / Solomon Grundy suggestion is perfect. What a great idea ... you get another JSA member (actually completes the main trinity), people get their GL fix, a villain and it fills the BIGGIE slot. Perfect. Tough call ... would I want Elongated Man or Plastic Man. I don't think they'd do them both at the same time. Then again, their selections have been fairly surprising. I think I'd have to pick classic red and black Elongated Man. Again, a really great pick. Atom needs to be made. Right now. Ralph is a really good pairing ... nod to Identity Crisis. I gotta say, I would die if they did Elseworlds MiniMates. My head would just explode. At the rate they're turning these out, they could do a full wave of Kingdom Come. Just make Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Gog. Rock on ...

Great mix here ... modern, Silver age and GOLDEN age characters! With Deadman, Spectre and Red Tornado ... the only biggies from my must-have list are Atom and Firestorm. It's all cake from there ... Ma Hunk is a random choice. Not sure how I feel about it. Those who want a modern ref. for her, check out the new Justice Society of America #1 & 2. What an awesome book. Man, I don't even really do customs, but I see a bunch of obvious choices here: She-Hulk Namor Aunt May (sorry Bones) Plus, lotsa new hairpieces (not meant to be a dig on Shatner) And those accesories, while very specific to Trek, are AWESOME! So this really isn't the announcement? Maybe it IS Spider-Man 3 'mates.

1) The Target rolling stock figures are so great ... and the blue suit Professor X is one of the highlights. Do you have any plans for similar variants / repaints in the future? Maybe a non-phasing Kitty Pride, masked Astonishing Wolverine, green costume non-Dark Phoenix, X-Factor Cyclops or any other easy and desirable repaint? 2) One repaint that people have repeatedly asked for is US Agent. Now that Omega Flight is coming out, any chance we'll get to see him in 'mate form? Seems like a perfect 2-pack would be US Agent and Guardian ... since they're both on Omega Flight AND the whole US / Canada thing. 3) Some collectors are MISBers. Which is kind of funny with MiniMates because if you aren't there when they are being taken out of the case, how can you REALLY know what is inside? (Just a comment, not my question ...) Anyway, since people are so fond of the packaging, has DST ever considered doing blurbs or bio-stats on the characters? 4) Were there ever any plans to either release Magnto in an unmasked form OR include a white hairpiece with him (a la Juggernaut)? 5) Were there ever any plans to make a hover-chair for Professor X? 6) I've seen control art for the Days of Future Past Colossus figure ... can you please still release this? 7) Any plans to release more Ultimate figures? (Ultimate Fantastic Four, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man specifically) THANK YOU SO MUCH!

WHAT A PAYOFF! Frontline gave me chills (really) this week. I was really looking at that book as a supplement / fix until the main Civil War books came out. But those 4 pages shot this storyline through the roof for me. I gotta say, I heart Penance and everything about him. What a great idea. (You think I like it?)

TWOK would make sense as a launch point. Then they could back track and do TOS. THEN they can do a wave of the Kirk / Spock / Abrahams movie. My gawd ... I can just imagine what the chase variants are going to be. Exclusives too. Should be very interesting.

SCREW YOU, JCASTICK! friggin' hippy ... * sits on hands and waits for PM from mods * (Too soon?) Which is why this place was working so well for so long. I think the mods' point is that there is a large influx of people. Some get it, some don't. It's like anything, really. Back when I was going to "raves" it was all about the dancing and hanging out with my real friends in a place that was special and very comfortable. When more and more people found out about it, they started coming. Some were coming for exactly the same reason that we were, some definitely weren't. We continued to go because we loved it ... but we had to adapt to accomidate the new folks. It was never exactly the same, but it was a lot of fun still (most of the time). And don't get me wrong ... some of the friends I made AFTER it got "crowded" were just as strong if not stronger than The Originals. Wow. It's early. Need coffee. Sorry if this post didn't make any sense. MOVE ALONG ... NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

My final guess: Not news of another license per se ... maybe some concept art for the 24 'mates. Or for those ellusive new 2" Star Trek 'mates. That would be pretty big. (which, by the way, I can't BELIEVE that I haven't freaked out about yet. Please let these actually get made. Let there be a Battle Damaged Jack. Please do some of the earlier seasons, not just the current one. Please let there be a Chloe. Please have Jack come with his magic PDA. SO hopeful for this line ...)

Wow ... I knew someone was going to go with a "Blown Away" joke ... did not see the Coreys coming. Thought it would be the Jeff Bridges movie. Now I guess we can move on to the inappropriate jokes. Come on ... let's just get it out of our system. I'm guessing along the lines of JL ... Spider-Man 3 for wave 16. My wish = GI Joe, Transformers, Lost or Army of Darkness. (All could fit into the BLOWN AWAY hint ... at least a little)
