Looks like wave five is:
Sam Anders & Tory Foster
Brother Cavil & Natalie
D'Anna Biers & Aaron Doral
Simon variant
Wave six is:
Baltar & Captive Six
President Lee Adama & Romo Lampkin
Athena & Hot Dog
"Racetrack" variant which I am pretty sure looks more like Seelix
if the moderators need to delete this cool beans. let me know and off it will go.
The cat is out of the bag huh?
I suspect DST will NOT be happy with the leak of that info, I heard rumors they had something up their sleeve for the reveal that would have been fun.
T.
I posted links to where I found this list with picks and had it removed. Hopefully my post will come back *crosses fingers*

As I think about all the complaining most people on here did about the Hulk movie mates it should no longer be a question that this forum and its contributors have a influence on design and character choices.
Lets keep up the good work
I am still waiting for the ultimate reveal for this Hulk movie wave: that they got a temporary laps in the 2 inch restriction and we will in face be seeing 2.5 or, better yet, 3 inch Hulk and Abominations. We just need to hold out hope! *crosses fingers*

Thank you for this post! I checked here before checking my email and am very grateful I did!

The new Lego "Tumbler" batmobile is also pretty cool. I bet it might not be too hard to modify the kit for minimates.
I've seen it at Toys R Us & Walmart
I picked this set up at Walmart for $45 and the Tumbler is a perfect fit. It is almost like it was designed for minimates and not Legos. The only modification required is the removal of the steering wheel (which should have been more like helicopter controls, but who cares). Then Batman fits with his hood on as long as you bend his knees slightly. This was a very good purchase.
Oh, and I will post pics as soon as I can.

Since no one has mentioned it... Did any one else notice that the Human Torch appears to have translucent arms and legs?
look here: http://www.diamondselecttoys.com/news_imag...94_164791_3.jpg
Note: If they are not translucent then he (it?) has the most detailed arms and legs ever (in order to obtain that slight orangish tint).
Either way, this set rocks!

I cannot wait until Friday so that I can review this movie. It looks frackin' sweet
Wrong theme, I know but...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Marvel-Universe-Exclus...1QQcmdZViewItem
Do not buy them from anyone else on E-bay!!! (the prices they are asking are beyond ridiculous) Or go to Shopafx.com
I noticed that, too, and it kind of pisses me off, actually. Why the hell does the same company offer higher shipping on its own site than it does when it eventually posts an item on eBay? Boggles the mind.
Not only that, but their ebay store ships from Hawaii whereas their store ships from California!
(I only know this from asking about combining orders off the two different venues)
-
I ordered three. One to keep unopened. One to have as a nice opened set, and one to make a great Cap custom and a Spidey with three legs.
Plus, the more you buy, the cheaper it is per item. The difference in shipping between one and three was like less than a dollar.

I discovered these photos a couple weeks ago and have started working on a minimate scaled one. I recently acquired some pieces to make a scaled Raider too.
Now, if only I had some time...
When I have something I will post it for all to see

Can some one help me out! im not sure what a custom case is.....
A wave is generally 3 'common sets of 2' + 1 set which contains a duplicate 'common' + 'a variant figure'. Retailers buy a 'case' of 12 sets of 2 figures. These 'normal' cases contain 4 sets of 'A' ,4 sets of 'B',3 sets of 'C' & 1 set of variant. In a nutshell each case contains 1 variant pack. With a custom case there are 3 complete waves (3 x each set inc. variant).
Got that?
Right, but as I asked before, how can one order these? I don't want to bug, but my LCS is talking about cutting some of us out because it is too costly to buy four cases just so the four people that collect minimates can get complete sets. Does anyone know so I can pass it on to my LCS? Thanks.
-
I had not heard of these 'custom cases.' My LCS could really benefit from them. How does one order them?

The main fault I see and I hope its a just a prototype is the Gold and Red IM at the front the mouth/jaw isn't straight it slants upwards.
I think this is a result of the removable face plate on the mask. If you look closely the picture I posted on page 3 of this thread, you can see the face mask removed next to the Mark III IM.
I just hope it stays on better than the Zombie Iron Man mask.

I don't know which one it was, something about a cylon shooting, team was running, asian chick in cuffs fights off grown man for gun control, shoots a cylon and saves the day. Really bad sound effects, cheesy facial emotions, and no one is super sexy. I need sexy to keep my attention.
WW4M
Obviously you did not see an episode with Six in it
Six is sexy

I like BSG for their customizing potential...evil robot army, futuristic Air Force, blue Navy officer's uniforms, and generic civilians all in one series.
This was why I started getting them. I thought the human pilots would be great for an anti-mutant group and the Cylons could be invading the Marvel universe.
I have all the BSG mates (except the exclusive Starbuck) and I am now hooked on the show.
All because of my love for the mates.
And my love for evil robots.
And now my love for the new Boomer!
Oh, and I never got into Trek. I have always been a Star Wars fan.

I'm stll iffy on the knee movement for the MkII/III. They seem like they COULD be immobile.
To me it looks like they are just really big boots. Assuming that they don't come up as high in the back, knee movement should be fine.

Don't know if you guys remember the original pictures from Toy Fair, but there was an eighth Minimate pictured: another Tony Stark in a white "wifebeater"-style undershirt, with the thingee in his chest, presumably from when he was held captive and made the Mark I armor. I'm not sure if that one was eventually dropped from the lineup or DST will be coming out with it later (or possibly for the variant).
This is weird -- the Toy Fair Iron Man Minimate pictures aren't on Action Figure Insider or Marvelous News, but I distinctly remember seeing them, with that other Tony Stark included!
Did you mean this?
I had to save this, just in case. Picture source was Superhero Times.
I needed something to drool over until late this summer

I would be happy even if we got more waves like 19. Each pack had a villain and a hero. Just give us some lesser known heroes so we can fill out the ranks.
And I like the Cylon-style boxed-set idea.

"With great power comes great responsibility." ~ Uncle Ben Parker
Oh, we weren't talking comic/ movie lines here
I would have to say that the best wave is 19. It has a great diversity of characters and they are all detailed very well. The Angel/ Apocalypse 2-pack has to be my favorite 2-pack to date. Plus, the fact we get three villains, all very prominent in their respective comic titles is a plus.
P.S. why is it that of all the variants stealth Iron man is the hardest too find?I thought that the original black spidy was the hardest variant to find. Of all the mainstream and semi-mainstream (I do not count/ collect the holiday of metallic singles) Marvel minimates, Black suit Spiderman from wave 2 is the only guy I am missing.

I laid the wings down, one at a time, and pressed my Angel onto them. At first this only worked to hold until it got bumped. After the third attempt, it has stayed for good. I can even move (pivot) the wings slightly to give him different poses.
This wing attachment is soooooo much better than that of the Hawkpeople from DC. Although, part of me wishes that they would have been similar so I could have given Angel feathered wings. But, Angel and Apocalypse is still the best set of these two waves!

its too bad we essentially already have this Marty as its just a combination of parts from box set 2 future marty head/hair and marty in disguise feet/legs/torso minus jacket and with red/flesh arms they should have made this set with Griff his funky helmet and "the Bulldog" hoverboard
I am hoping that we will be surprised to find a Sports Almanac accessory included. That would, IMO, justify this Marty.
oh and here's hoping we'll see a two pack for part three of marty in his pink cowboy outfit with shamus style bowler hat and Ms. Clara ClaytonI was thinking that Ms. Clayton could come with another Western Doc Brown. I would prefer to have 'Circus Cowboy' Marty packed with Jennifer from the end of the movie.
Then all we would need is a Delorean with Hazmat suit Marty and Hazmat suit Doc. And Einstein, of course.

The wording is a bit ambiguous.Purchase any of these in stock Minimates sets below and get a FREE Exclusive Web Armor Spider-Man Minimate (not available anywhere else)!
Best thing to do is email AFX to find out for sure.
It appears that they have updated the site to say "every each set" So, buy multiple sets, get multiple spideys!

So yesterday was the 19th and according to DST they should've been in stores. I was wondering if anyone has any news about when they will come in? Will it be in Jan? I'm looking forward to adding these to my collection.
I asked my LCS when I picked up my Spiderman 3 mates yesterday (I am considered an East-Coaster here in Madison, WI); they said they weren't on their shipping list, but they still might be out next week (Friday due to the holidays). They weren't exactly sure. They also said that some of their other Previews exclusives for yesterday did not show up, so who knows!

I wasn't too worried about it, but thanks for keeping us in the loop, Stephen.
Dito.
