  1. I have to disagree with Neo. (You're not shocked are you? It's been FOREVER since we had a good debate) I HATE the Playstation Network!!!! It is the least user friendly interface ever! The most frustating online store ever! That said, there are 5 games you should grab: -Back To The Future Pt1 -Castle Crashers -Fat Princess -Scott Pilgrim vs the World Ummmm... I all of a sudden forgot my 5th, but -Costume Quest is also great!
  2. Donnie, why don't we ever play Reach together? Bastard, you want my advise? Skip ME1. It's NEARLY as good and you might get "Mass Effected Out" by the time into game 2. Don't ruin #2 for yourself.
  3. So, as many of you know I've been playing DCU Online, and since I seem to be the only one here who is I thought I'd toss some of my experience your way. First, and having nothing to do with DCUO I want to rant quickly about the PS3: ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!! My wife said it best when she threw a PS3 controller a few weeks ago and said: "The Playstations a piece of junk!!!" Normally I sit on the fence with consoles. While I do a lot more gaming on our 360s, I do own both and have suggested the PS3 to numerous people over teh years trying to decide. That said, EVERY THING about it right now annoys me. EVERYTHING. It seems like I can't find ANYTHING it does better than the 360. And, explain to me how it's possible that I've spent more time WAITING to game on the PS3 than actually playing!?!?! Okay, now that that's off my chest: DCUO Honestly, if you're not playing this game I know why: The monthly fee. That said, Crackdown is the best game ever made to put you in a Superheroe's shoes. The squel didn't improve anything except allowing you to play 4 players. DCUO is like the 37th sequel to CrackDown. It totally nails being a superhero and has a fantastic fun world to play in. The problem is that Crackdown didn't have a monthly fee, right? Honestly it sucks. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when my free month is up. That said, YOU GET A FREE MONTH TO PLAY. Rent it, Gamefly it... Buy it if you want. I'm sure you can get your money's worth in that month. After that, either sell it or go crazy and pay a monthly fee. Holding out is NOT going to screw them over and dump the monthly fee. SOE announced today DCUO is their best selling game EVER.
  4. Another common misconception is that Sony and Microsoft are bitter enemies. They actually work together on more products than they compete.
  5. Well today is the day... DCUO online drops. Like I said before I completely agree with what you've said Neo... I have a lot of trouble being convinced to pay $15 dollars a month for a game. As a matter of fact, had you asked me 2 weeks ago I probably would have said I won't pick up the game... Having played in the beta though, I think I might pick it up. ... Ahhh, the power of a free demo.
  6. I have both PS3 and 360. The interesting thing that I'm seeing is anyone who has both tends to lean towards 360. Good choice MoC. I could give you a proper breakdown between the 2 but you alreqady bought it.
  7. Well be good Neo. It's possible to woo the girls early and "mess around." If you do that though you lose the ability to romance them. ... Not sure if that made sense, but I'll give you an example: I ended up with Tali but have casual sxx with Jack. I know, I know... Jack is a little scary, but she offered. As for the Noble maps, I of course would tell you EVERY Halo map pack is worth it. That said, it's all up to you. Bungie is the only video game company who seems to care about their fans, and, in a few months will make them free. Can you wait? They're all gorgeous, and I'm a fan of big maps which 2 out of 3 of them are. I've been playing DC Universe Online!!!! I'm sure people want the verdict: Here goes The game is great! The attention to detail is Phenomenal... DC's world comes to life and there is SO much to do! Jim Lee does animated comics throughout which are gorgeious and the entire thing is voiced over by the cast of the JLU cartoon. These points alone should sell someone on the game. That said I get great value out of the games I buy. For anyone who knows me I only play a few games A LOT!! (Halo for instance). With that in mind $15 a month is a deal breaker. If you buy comics ever month I would consider cutting back on 3 a month to play this instead since it is like LIVING a comic instead with it's very own awesome continuity. ... That said I really can't suggest this game to everyone. If ONLY it were free to play...
  8. Sorry, I have A LOT of news I want to write but I don't have time so I'll just answer this: The answer: You CANNOT have more than 1 love interest. Chambers, however takes LAST precedence. You can only end up with her if you don't get a love interest in the game and you keep her alive. In other words, flirt with her all you want nothing will come of it. If you flirt with other girls though, you might lose your chance at the one you want. In my game Chambers was the only person I failed to save. I considered replaying the game to keep her alive but she's a pretty minor character.
  9. I knew you'd be back. I don't have time to talk but I'll be back to chat more with you guys.
  10. Yeah, I really didn't mean any insult in what I said about SPvsTW. It reeally is a good game... But if you liked it at all, try Castle Crashers, it'll blow your mind.
  11. I agree. The last one I played was Project Sylpheed, which was decent. 2 weeks and counting (Til my midnight release)
  12. So I'm back to talk more about games which means I'll be stoned again. Today's topic? Scott Pilgrim's game doesn't live up to the hype. Before I die, hear me out: I LOVE this game. That said, most of the people pumping it up had played it on PS3. I, on the other hand decided to wait 2 weeks for the 360 so I could play online with friends on XBL. After playing Castle Crashers I had very high expectations for this game. I thought brawlers were dead until Castle Crashers revolutionized the genre over a year ago. Then I played Scott Pilgrim, and to my disappointment didn't make as a good a game as Castle Crashers. Don't get me wrong, it's great... But clearly awesome on the PS3 is not the same on 360. Luckily for you PS3 exclusive folks out there, Castle Crashers will be landing this fall on PS3 aswell. Until then, play Scott Pilgrim to your heart's content.
  13. I've had this conversation with Dino before. His opinion has a lot to do with the campaign. Despite the fact that Halo 3's last level is my favorite level in any halo game.
  14. Halo 6? 1.HCE 2.H2 3. H3 4. H3:ODST 5. Halo Reach. I assume you're counting Halo Wars. ODST was merely an expansion to H3 (Hence the H3:ODST) so this guy comes in @ #4. I am excited though. I've been couting down the days. This is the prequel and having played a bit of it can say a lot of it plays like HCE... With Jet Packs. SO EXCITED!!!
  15. Those action league figures are adorable!!!!!!!
  16. Sony owns blu-ray, why would they let M$ put it in the 360? uh....for an obscene amount of money...lol. Sony & Microsoft work together on 80% of things, they only compete in console sales. While Microsoft WAS getting into the BluRay biz they decided to change direction to digital download... So no, these don't play BluRays or HDDVDs
  17. And then the DC fans rejoiced. Marvel in all their "genius" dumped the best Spider-man cartoon EVER for a new one. The creator of Spectacular Spider-man? He's helming Young Justice. I'm SOOOOO stoked.
  18. Thanks, LMK. That would be great Don. I know it's not a hard set to get ahold of which is why I'm ready to be very reasonable with offers.
  19. Does this mean that every one has wave 12? Because I have no use for 2x each of these (they're just for my boys to destroy). Like I said I'm willing to be very responsible on price or trade for a wide selection of characters (we only have about 50 characters). Anyways, let me know. Sorry for bumping. I promise I won't do it again.
  20. So guys, due to a series of events I have 2 sets of DCUC wave 12. This means that I have the entire wave up for grabs including the variant of Mary Marvel! The only one I don't have is the variant of Spectre. If anyone is interested in these I'm willing to be very reasonable on price/trade. I would prefer to part with them as a set but am open to just about anything. Essentially I'm willing to trade them for ANY characters we don't have as long as they are complete (including BAF piece). They can be loose, I'm not picky. Anyways, let me know.
  21. That's how I feel about. Make all thr mistakes and goof off all you want now since it won't effect your pofile when the game hits. For those who care, Invasion will start in the beta tomorrow. It's what I'm most excited to try.
  22. Uncharted 2 SHOULD be the game at the top of your list. One of the 2 PS3 games I own.
  23. I've spent some 1 on 1 time with Reach, but before I talk about it I'm going to talk a little about The "New" Halo experience. For those of you who haven't been paying attention Reach is a completly different animal than Halo 2 or 3. It's almost like a "what if." The game itself has been reinvented and is barely recognizable compared to it's predecessors. That said, I know I've tried to sell Halo to people who haven't liked it before so I'm not doing that. It's the reviews that major websites are writing that are interesting: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/108/1087506p1.html http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3178...mp;sec=PREVIEWS For those of you sitting down with the beta today don't expect to stumble accross most of the changes that make Reach epic. While "loadouts" are a big change. (They allow you to choose a special ability that your spartan can use on the battlefield like invisbility or a jetpack) gametypes like invasion and reactor defense won't land until later in the week. The servers ARE fixed, so you shouldn't have problems playing now. Alright, onto my opinion: It's good. It's not phenomenal, but it's good. Don't get me wrong, I'll LOVE this game when it lands, but this is just a beta. Don't have your hopes so high it can't live up to them. There are only 2 maps (2 others land later in the week) and half a dozen gametypes. You'll play through most it (currently) has to offer in a couple days, which is why they're adding more over the span of the beta. I LOVE Armor lock. Turning yourself into a statue just doesn't get old. Anyways, I'll just keep rambling, but here's the lowdown: If you have ODST play it... It's free. If you don't, hold off and buy the game when it lands in the fall. Reach has enough ingredients from other popular shooters mixed in that it might sell even the hardest halo-haters on it. It'll be epic.
  24. In what surprises even me, I find myself agreeing with Dinobot. Let me clarify: I WILL by these. I've barely bought any minimates in the last few years with a few exceptions like Ghost Busters. That said, I WILL buy these. With that in mind, I think back to when I first started buying minimates back when they had the Star Trek 3" @ Wal Mart. I thought to myself that there was literally no cuter way to put McCoy, Kirk or Spock into plastic form. They were adorable!! Minimates have evolved a great deal since then (and improved), but looking at what they are now... They are clearly not the adorable block figures I fell in love with anymore... They're a different beast all together.
